“And here she comes!” A faint golden hand reached from behind the distant mountains, the glow of its fingers tracing the tips of pines. Songbirds stirred, the morning rhythm beginning its flow, and the stars receded from the light. Far below, observing dawn’s beloved spectacle, trotted a single wolf. His tongue lolled from his maw, a certain swagger possessing his entire frame with ever step. He withdrew a single breath, savoring the taste of the air, and released it. The snow crunched beneath his paws. And yet, he was a rogue, and this was not his territory. “Hmm… what’s for breakfast today, I wonder? A little dining in pack territory, maybe?” A gleeful grin spread across his jaws. “As if I could resist!” Confident and hyperactive as usual, Icarus ducked his head and proceeded deeper into Siverian territory, scenting the air for a possible meal.

Aurora was taking a morning walk. The stress of pack life can be soo harsh! she thought to herself as she stooped down to lap up water from a puddle of melted snow. As she was bring her head up, she noticed a strange smell in the air. Finding nothing better to do, she decided to follow it. As she went along, she learned more about the owner of this strange scent. A wolf. Male, and a loner. Realising this she picked up her pace. She would not let a loner tresspass on her pack's lands. Sprinting now, she came upon a clearing in which she saw him. When she saw him, she stopped dead in her tracks.

“Hmm, I’m picking up something… hare, maybe?” Continuing to mutter to himself, Icarus brushed casually against the surrounding pines, his loner odor clinging to the trees as he plunged deeper. Might as well let ‘em know I was here, the poor souls. Don’t they have security in this place? He glanced about, unaware of Aurora’s presence; he was upwind from her, and did not scent her. Jackpot! Crouching, he swiped a tongue around his jowls and tensed. A rabbit was nearby, its plush ivory pelt swaying in the wind. Its beady eyes fixated on something distant, but not towards the silent predator. Icarus prepared to strike. Got ya, you little rodent…

Aurora growl-barked loudly, regaining her composure and taking a few steps tword the loner. He was quite handsome, but still a tresspasser. Why am I the only one patroling this part of the territory? Surely there must be others patroling somewhere.. she thought bitterly. Her ice blue eyes stared coldly at the big male.

Startled by the sounds, the rabbit jolted into a sprint, and fled into the forest. Icarus scowled. “Oi! That was my breakfast that you just scared off!” Turning to acknowledge the packwolf, he discovered a single female. Forcefully vicious though she was, Icarus scoffed, raising a brow at the Siverian. “I mean, you don’t see me scaring off your dinner, now, do you?”

Growling, she moved closer. "That rabbit is in our territory. And, therefore, not yours. Away with you!" she said, backing her statement up with a snap of her jaws. She knew she probably couldn't win against him, but it was her duty to defend her pack's lands. Deep down she was afraid.

“What, didn’t your pack ever teach you that ‘sharing is caring’? And people say that I’m the ill-mannered one!” Icarus rolled his eyes, backing up a step as Aurora snapped at him. His tail brushed against a tree; he was running out of room to back up. “Hey, easy there! I don’t fight faes!”

"What's the matter? Afraid you'll lose?" She asked with a sly grin. She was calling a bluff of course, but Siverians are known for having an attitude. Seeming to calm down some, she sat with her muscles still tense, ready to spring into action if need be.

“Exactly. You look terrifying! And I’m a pacifist, I’ll have you know.” Smirking a little, the brute slid against the bark of the tree, watching the female carefully. He swirled his tongue around his lips once more, casting a sideways glance. The empty spot where the hare once sat taunted his memory, and he inwardly sighed. Still hungry, erg.

Aurora sighed. I guess it wouldn't hurt to show a little hospitality.. she thought to herself. "If I help you hunt so you can eat will you leave afterwards?" she asked, staring at a leaf near her foot, deep in thought. On one hand, she knew that a little kindness never hurt. On another, if she was caught helping an intruder her superious would tan her hide for sure. Flicking her tail in annoyance from her situation, she wished she'd just stayed in her den that morning.

Wha—?? Tilting his head, the beige male stared oddly at the Siverian. Disbelief coated his features, and he subconsciously wondered if she was trying to deceive him. Ah, well… seems harmless enough. “…well, I normally wouldn’t ask a pack wolf for help, but since you’re cute, I’ll take you up on that offer.” He winked, smiling good-naturedly. “Happen to know any good hunting spots in this territory of yours?”
