Aubrey shook out his fur, giving a huge yawn. How long was i asleep? he thought to himself, wondering if he should just go hunt intead of standing there looking like an idiot. His eyes were still droopy. He couldn't sleep very well, with all the coughing going around. He was just lucky he wasn't sick yet. It just seemed to be a cold. He padded through the pack, not very sure of where he was going.

Freya sighed with dismay as she watched Annelise rush around the camp. The young healer neophyte was so busy lately that Freya and Annelise hardly had time to say hello anymore. Freya was busy with warrior training of course, and Annelise was busy caring for the sick, but she still longed for the old days in the nursery when Annelise and herself had tussled and tumbled together. She padded to the prey pile and selected a small ferret for her dinner. She hoped the food supply wasn't tainted.

Aubrey walked over to the prey pile and just grabbed something from it, then flopped down next to it, lazier than ever. "Morning Freya..." he said, as if he was in another world. He yawned right before he took a bite of his food, and stretched out again.

"Morning, Aubrey," Freya woofed kindly. She sighed heavily again and flopped down for a rest. "Everyone's getting sick all of a sudden...this isn't good. Winter always brings sickness, but...I guess I didn't really expect anything bad to happen so soon. I mean, we've been here for almost two months now. The only realy fight was with the Sheerans and Yozorans, and now we're all getting sick. I guess bad things do happen sometimes, but I just hoped everything would be peaceful for a while," she explained to the older wolf.

"Freya," woofed the black femmora encroching on thier conversation, "We will do battle practice tomarrow if your up for it okay?" Asha's amber gaze lay on her white neophyte. Her tail wagged as she then left to go enter her nest for a nap.

He nodded. "I know..." he said. "I really hope it's just a cold..." he added. Then his mind rushed back to Ada. Was the cold in other places too? Ada... please be alright... he thought desperately, suddenly feeling very awake. "I'm surprised though... if it's only a cold... how come none of the medicines cure it?" he wondered aloud. He was always keeping up with the healers. He knew a little about herbs, and learned them just by watching.

Freya gave him an odd look. "Nothing is instantaneous. Maybe they'll heal up in a few days. The worst it could be is a blackcough epidemic, and even then the healers will work their magic eventually," she woofed certainly. Little did Freya know, she was terribly wrong.

Aubrey shrugged, finished his food, and stood up. He shok out his fur and licked his muzzle. "I hope so... but..." his sentence trailed off. He really didn't feel like having a debate at the moment. "I'll see you later..." he said, walking off to get some water, and to clear his thoughts.
