Bluefrost stumbled into the herb healer den and promptly collapsed on a moss nest. Her side burned, three deep gashes running along her side. The cobwebs Eli had put on her wounds were beginning to fall off, the blood showing through. Though the bleeding had slowed, it hadn't stopped. Blue's eyes were darkened and her mind fuzzy, hanging in that place between awake and asleep.

Eli watched as his friend collapsed on the bed of misses and looked around. "Hello? Anyone there?" he called. what they needed was a healer, and if they weren't in their own den, then where were they supposed to be? He sniffed about, but with all the mosses, he wasn't exactly sure what it was he was smelling.

An old, grey wolf emerged from the depths of the den, the scents of marigold and dock wreathed about his fur. Lifting his muzzle, Sedaka scented blood, and, taking another step, saw the scarlet deluge. "What happened here?" the Healer woofed, instantly withdrawing to his herbs stores, gathering cobwebs and goldenrod while the reek of open wounds filled the air.

"Bear" Bluefrost murmured, wincing and twitching slightly as pain shot through the gashes on her side. The bear had gotten her good, that was for sure but it wouldn't be fatal unless the wounds became infected. Then, Bluefrost knew she'd have something to worry about. A bear, when really mad, could slash through a wolf with ease. Compared to that, Bluefrost considered herself quite lucky.

Sedaka returned as Bluefrost spoke with all manner of herbs at hand. Lowering himself beside her, the Healer worked a mixture of goldenrod and dock gently onto and into the wounds. He had been fortunate enough to find a steady supply of herbs in this new home. "You're wounds are bad, but not horrible. You'll be fine in no time." After applying the disinfecting poultice, Sedaka nudged a few seeds toward Bluefrost's nose and began to wrap the bleeding areas in cobwebs.

As Sedaka tended to her wounds, Bluefrost flinched now and then as pain burned in her sides but bit her tongue to keep from whining. There were wolves that had been through worse, she would be fine. "Thanks Sedaka" Bluefrost murmured, licking up the seeds and letting her head rest back against the ground. She knew the pack was fortunate to have a healer with Sedaka's experiance and years, he was wise and a good healer, Bluefrost knew she had nothing to worry about.

"You're very welcome," Sedaka said kindly. He turned away, disappearing into the shadows of the den... and then reappearing with fresh moss. "Here, this will be better than that old batch..." He sunk his claws into the moss nest beneath Bluefrost, dug some out, kicked the remains away, and replaced it with new, fresh moss. "There. That's better."

As Eli watched the healer and his friend, he forgot all about his nose. Sedaka seemed very wise and experenced, and he immediatly trusted him. His friend obviously did. As the healer brought out mosses and made a disinfectant and applied it to Blue, Eli wondered ho many different plants there were that could make little remedies like that. The tri-colored brute sat and watched in amazment. "Blue?" he finally asked, "are you feeling better?"

"I'm numb so I guess, yeah" Bluefrost barked, her voice sounding groggy and drugged from the poppy seeds. Her dark brown eyes were begining to drift closed and staying awake seemed to take too much energy, or at least, more then it was worth. "You can go Eli, nothing interesting's going to happen now." Blue's eyes drifted closed again and she started to fall asleep.

"Are you sure?" the brute asked softly. She looked so tired, he thought that was about all he could do as it was. He sighed to himself without waiting for a response from her. Nudging her gently with his throbbing maw, he whispered, "I'll be at camp." and walked off, headed toward the main camp with the rest of his pack.
