Tisana stuck a wad of moss on the end of a long stick, cringing as she dipped it in the foul-smelling liquid entrapt in a rock's crevice. She mumbled to Robin through the bark. "Don't let it touch you. The smell is bad, but the taste is wayyy worse."

Robin had to restrain herself from retching right then and there. Her bright, brown and red fur bristled the slightest bit, uncomfortable. "Oh, I won't!" she promised her mentor hastily. She gingerly took the soaked bark from Tisana.

"Good." she stepped out of her den and into the clearing. "Make sure you don't drop that, Robin." she advised. "It would smell awful for days. And, no one will clean it, and I'll have to. So... don't drop it."

Robin nodded, taking the icky stuff to Ozzie and applying it the way Tisana had showed her. She ran to the small stream just outside the camp and washed her paws before returning to the herb den. She smiled, eyes alight with excitement and eagerness. "What's next?"

Tisana smiled. Then a troubled look came over her face. "I will warn you... It won't be pleasant. But we have to do it." She looked at the sky. "The fate of the Yozorans might depend on it." she glanced back at her neophyte. "And you can help me. Now, follow."
She trotted to her den.
