Annelise rushed about in her hectic routine. Tyra had fallen to the illness. Francine, a respected former healer, was nearing death's gates as well. She felt useless, hopeless, and tired beyond imagination.
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep... When you get what you want, but not what you need...
She paused briefly, allowing herself to steady her emotions. Tears were such a common thing lately... Riley had been in the den earlier, and by the look in the proxy's eyes...and by the sound of his cough, Annelise knew he wouldn't last long. Riley knew this, too.
Is there any hope left in this world at all?

A gentle breeze swept throught the darkness of the den. A maned wolf appered, her blue gaze soft, "Hello Annelise," she woofed. Her brown and golden fur shown like the twilight light. her tail wagged happily as she approched the healer neophyte. Idun had been slain by Paris who was then killed by his sister. She looked mournfully to Riley. She then looked to Francine who would soon joined thier ranks. She knew information that she could not let on. The information to save them. She couldn't. "Do not worry young one, their time shall come soon, and for some painlessly," she had a deep sadness for Annelise, "Not everybody can be saved, it is not your doing," she woofed. She touched her nose to the young neophytes and sat down. Watching over Riley, he was probably unable to see her but might be able too.

(Riley's not actually in the den --- he was before, but he knows he doesn't have much time so he's out with his neophyte and family =[ )
Annelise sighed heavily. "But I can't help it....if I can't save them....If Magic can't save them...then who will? I feel so useless....the herbs don't even make it more bearable for them all." She sat next to the warrior spirit, used to visits like these by now. She guessed she knew Idun was right, deep down, but it still pained her. She was watching her pack die....feeling herself give over to sickness...and there was nothing she could do about it.

((Oh I just thought, I'll change it.... is Francine?))
"There is a way but I am unable to tell you now, there are 9 who can save them," she woofed. Her tonguee rasped over to top of the neophyte's head, "I know you are doing your best and you will make a great healer in the future to come," she woofed and then her spirit began to fade. All that was left was a shimmering golden light that glittere dto the ground and vanished.

Annelise's tail perked up at the mention of the nine, then drooped again. Couldn't their ancestors see they were suffering? What was keeping them from just outright saying who or what could help them? This troubled her, but she knew she probably wouldn't find out more for a while. Magic had gone to the Eternal Tree the other night, so maybe he'd be able to tell her. She went back to miserably sorting herbs.
