Down Time (DESTINY!)

[Destiny]

A thought crossed Aliya's mind. "It will be a surprise for Skysong and the pack. We won't be telling Sothis either. But, him being Sothis, he probably already knows." Aliya's maw twitched in a half smile half frown. "Do you remember when Sothis was a pup? How he knew what herbs to get before he could hunt. How he seemed to just.. know things?" A strange look crossed ALiya's face now. Sothis was...different. Yes. But..unique.

(Is he a lupus proeliator yet? I think so.... hmmmm.... )

Sirius flicked his ears, thinking back to when the pups had been born. It had been during Ripple's rebellion against Destiny way back when the pack had been GreyMist and lived in their old home. Sirius had been wounded and Sothis had somehow known what herbs to use. Without Sothis, Sirius knew his wounds probably could have been turned fatal before a healer got to him. Something about Sothis however, had always made him a bit uneasy. The pup was definately different. Skysong was different but not to the extent of her brother. Sometimes he wondered if Sothis's own sister was unnerved by his odd knowledge. Sirius sighed. "Let's just hope maybe we'll have a normal litter this time. I don't think I could keep up with another Skysong or keep up mentally with another Sothis."

[Destiny]

Aliya snorted. "I might'nt be able to keep up with Skysong's antics, or Sothis's strange knowledge. But even if our next litter isn't normal, I'll still love my pups just the same. And, too be honest, it was very enlightening to have such strange children." There was a teasing tone in her voice now. Yet, something told her, that all of her pups wouldn't be normal. Definately not normal.

(I have my pup named, he will be Silas. I'm planning on pming Sivvy, asking her if it would be okay to have Silas be a future Herb Healer.)

Sirius chuckled softly. "Well each one has abnormal parents, I suppose we can't expect normal pups" Sirius joked. "Their mother is abnormally beautiful and their father is simply insane." The brute chuckled again and nuzzled Aliya's fur. "No matter what happens we'll love the pups nonetheless." Shifting a bit, Sirius licked Aliya's shoulder and laid his head on her shoulder though he kept most of his weight off of her. Outside the den it was getting dark and Sirius really didn't want just spirits for company tonight. A sly look crept across his visage as he cast a glance at Aliya. "Care to spend the night?" he asked, tone light.

[Destiny]

Aliya laughed quietly. Licking his maw playfully. "Too true, too true darling." A mischeiveous glint appeared in her aquamarine pools. "Abnormal parents cause abnormal pups. But pups , our children all the same. " SHe smiled happily. Auds perking at his request. I'm allowed to stay in the alpha's den for the night? I didn't think that was... allowed! She giggled quietly. "That, would be quite fun."

Sirius chuckled. "I'm glad we're thinking along the same lines" Sirius said in an amused voice. Nuzzling Aliya's neck, Sirius laid his head on his paws. "Don't worry dear, I doubt Destiny will come to scold us." A yawn managed to worm it's way out of the alpha, reminding him quite firmly that he hadn't slept in what, two? Three days? Sirius nuzzled Aliya's soft dark fur again, breathing in the scent of his beloved mate as his eyelids began to droop.

[Destiny]

Aliya smiled. The femme curled up next to her mate. Her face leaning against his broad chest. She breathed in his scent. One of the pups kicked and she shifted slightly. Her eyelids began to droop as she drifted off towards sleep.
