(cheesy title i kno get over it) Bluefrost bounded along the Rabbit Run, long limbs carrying her lean form with ease along the open path. Snow flew behind her as she ran along, blue-grey fur standing out against the shocking white of the frozen ice all around. Dark brown orbs gazed ahead, searching for prey somewhere. Eli was somewhere either behind or ahead of her, she couldn't remember. He was somewhere tracking something or just following. Something about winter always made Bluefrost oddly...happy. Even in these unfamiliar lands, Blue felt a little at ease as she sprinted through the snow in search of prey. Movement caught her eye. Bluefrost turned her head just in time to see her packmate come bounding along.... (And bring in Eli )

Eli came up beside his friend with a snow hare in his jaws. Cutting Blue off, he stopped and turned toward her, giving her a slight friendly wink. He was a great hunter. Eli set down the hare and nudged it toward Bluefrost. "Faes first," he said quietly, but not unkindly. He sat on his haunches, wagging his tail, waiting for Bluefrost to eat the hare. He was going to go get some more prey soon, but he really just wanted to talk, whih surprised him. But he wanted to know more about this fammora and also he wasn't the hungriest brute around. He was still trying to figure out that look from Destiny earlier today.

Bluefrost skidded to a halt, nearly tumbling forward but managing to stop herself in time. The clumsy fae looked at the hare, then at Eli. Usually the hunter or queens ate first but Bluefrost decided it was probably better to eat a little rather then complain. The blue-tinged femme stepped forward and took a delicate bite of the prey, savoring the sweet taste of hare. "Thanks" Bluefrost barked, flicking her ears shyly. "I can't ever really focus well during the winter. Maybe it's cause I was born during the winter but I just get all this energy..." Bluefrost let her voice trail off and flicked her tail as she sat back on her hunches.

Eli's tail twitched at the end as his packmate took a small bite of the hare. He was glad she didn't argue with him. Normally it was the hunter who ate first, but he wanted her to know he respected her. "I don't remember exatly when I was born. All I know is it was sometime warm, whether that be late spring or summer, it doesn't matter to me. I decided I'd just ignore the thought of a birthday, but keep track of my age using the summertime. It's cool that you know when you were born." Realizeing he'd just told her something no other wolf knew, he blushed slightly, and shut his maw tightly, wondering what in the world had possesed him to tell her that. It wasn't a big deal at all, it was just something that only he knew, and thought was something only he would ever know. 'What is it about this fae?' he wondered.

"When I was younger wolves would say I was born on a night so cold it turned be blue and made my paws numb because I'm clumsy" Bluefrost said, smiling lightly at Eli, sitting up and curling her tail around her side. "Birthdays don't matter much but I just like to have some excuse for my clumsiness." Bluefrost stretched her lean limbs. The fae batted the hare with a paw, sending it tumbling over to Eli. "Eat up, you'll need all the energy you can get to keep up with me."

Eli smiled at her, taking the hare in his maw. After he got the first bite down, he looked up at her and said, "Me keep up with you? Puh-leez. I got more muscle and I'm not as clumsy, silly. You're the one who needs the energy." He got up and shook his hind end off, removing the snow. Stretching, he plucked off a few more bits of hare and told Bluefrost, "You may want to keep this, or atleast bury somewhere to come back for it. You can give it to your neophyte if you'd like. What's it like to be a mentor?"

Bluefrost shrugged when he asked about Skysong. "I kind of helped keep track of her when she couldn't follow Sirius around. I've kind of always been her mentor to some degree, me and Silver. Aliya usually took care of Sothis and Skysong was never far from Sirius's shadow." Bluefrost smiled fondly at the memory of Sirius walking around camp talking to everyone. Every few steps he would stumble over the little bundle of identical blue-black fur marked with a moon-mark. "It's interesting to say the least." Bluefrost tossed the rabbit into some frozen ferns. It would be well enough hidden there, since the white fur blended with the snow anyway.

"She seems really cute. I'm glad you got one that you know really well. I can't imagine having to be responsible for someone I barely know..." He stretched one last time, and looked up at the pale blue sky. "You wanna race? I sniffed out a rabbit burrow somewhere that way," he said, pointing with his maw, "and I think there's still a few more. We can help get the pack some food, especially if we're lucky enough to get something larger."

Bluefrost smirked at Eli and took off running. Her long legs gave her an advantage, pushing her up above the snow rather then wading through it. Her blue-grey fur seemed to blend with the blue-tinged ice around her and she moved oddly gracefully for a wolf that couldn't usually walk in a straight line. Something about the cold made her energetic. Usually she wasn't graceful enough to stand on her own paws unless no one was looking. It seemed Eli didn't apply.

When Blue took off, it took a second or two for Eli to register that he was behind. He took off after her like a bullet, though. His grey-white-black pelt contrasted extremely with the shiney white of the snow. Bluefrost blended in so perfectly that he almost believed the tales she told him about the stories circleing her as a pup. He wondered how it could be that everyone thought she was so clumsy, as she was that first day they'd met, yet here she was, as graceful as any other femme, if not more graceful. She did have the advantage of her weight. She was lighter than Eli, so she didn't get trapped in the snow like he. He had to lift his paws up extra high to be able to run but he did, and the snow behind him had nothing but prints and drifts, drifting from the sky as he quite litterally kicked up snow. He cought up to her, and was about a banner's length from passing her when an unseen stick tripped him. Falling on his face, Eli spluttered a bit, spitting out snow, then got up and continued with the race, laughing at his own clumsyness. 'And the others say she's the awkward one,' he thought happily.

Bluefrost saw Eli go tumbling down and almost stopped until she saw him leap up and come after her again. A pretty smile curled on her slender maw. She shot past a tree but the snow gave and her foot caught on something. The fae yelped as she was sent tumbling nose over tail down a slight embankment and landed in a cluster of icy ferns that crackled noisily as her weight broke them. The fae found herself laying on the ferns on her back, paws in the air and staring dazedly up at the sky.

Eli laughed, but followed the femme down the embankment. He was careful not to step on some of the sharper peices of ice, and when he got to her, looking up into the sky, still slightly stuned, he asked, "Hey Blue, are you OK? That was a pretty hard tumble, you know." He lowered his head slightly to help push her to one side, off the frozen ferns. He enjoyed the crackle-crackle sound they made, because it reminded him of birdsong and other things he enjoyed. He quickly checked her back and paws for any injuries, making sure she was really OK. It wasn't a big fall, and it was too hard, but she did land on ice. He'd rather be safe than sorry.

Bluefrost jerked herself out of her revere and gave her head a brisk shake. The fae got to her paws and gave her pelt a thorough shake. Small shards of ice pelted out of her fur like mini bullets. "Its ok, I'm used to it." Bluefrost gave the embankment a scathing look and sighed. "See what I said? I'm a cluts but oh well." Bluefrost smiled at the brute and flicked her tail at his face, flicking his muzzle.

"You're not really a clutz," he said quietly. "Before you fell, you were-" He stopped abruptly, realizing what he was about to say. "I...uh I mean...are...are you sure you're ok? That was a pretty nasty fall. Well, I mean, it wasn't, but, I mean, you fell, and, um, I mean," Realizing he wa jibbering, Eli just shut up and he blushed heavily. He lowered his head and pretended he was cleaning his injured paw to avoid eye contact with Bluefrost. 'Why am I such an idiot sometimes?' he wondered. 'Do I have to be so shy all the time?'

Bluefrost cocked her head curiously to one side, ears swerved forward in a curious expression that would be cute and slightly amusing at the same time. Eli was sometimes really calm but she had to remember, he was just as shy as she was at other times. It seemed odd to think of a brute being shy but then again, she was shy all the time. "I am a clutz, just not when nobody's looking. That's why nobody thinks I can walk in a straight line." Bluefrost walked three steps forward and stumbled on a rock hidden by the snow. "See?" Blue smiled at Eli, hoping to help him not feel so uncomfortable about his stammering and jabbering.
