Her eyes twitched. She knew she could run fast.. she easily could, but she wouldn't. She did not want to stand out. She did not want to show her strengths.. only weaknesses.. though she had few. She in a much less than her run chased him staying far behind. She felt like she was walking, but she kept her speed.

Riley felt frustrated. He felt like just giving up, but something kept him there. Something kept him rooted to that spot. He stopped running, but continued his walk. He had his back to Dashina. He didn't know how to get her to smile. He realized he wanted more than anything to see that wolf smile. She wouldn't do it. He sighed, paws and heart heavy once more.

Dashina halted easily. She stared at his back for a long while. She silently aproached him and sat near his flank. She heaved a long sigh and accepted the silence. This was her. Silence. No communication. That was her life. She accepted as the sunlight continued to fade. Darkness. Another part of her life. One thing was not part of her life. Being with a wolf. Interaction. She never was with other wolves. She gave another sigh and decided to let that change seep in.. for tonight. She gave his ear a lick.

Riley stood stock still, a warm, tingling sensation jolting through him and her tongue rasped over his ear. He felt his skin grow warm under his fur, and felt himself blushing. He turned back at her and offered a small smile, hoping to the tip of his tail she would return it.

She saw him smile. She felt her ears burn. They felt like a sudden fire had set upon them. She slightly thought he would see them and yelp in astonishment. She felt slightly self-conscience. She glanced up to see if he was still smiling. She did not smile herself.

Riley sighed, deciding that for now, this was enough progress. "I'll get you to smile yet!" He laughed softly. He laid down on his back in the soft, powdery snow. Gazing up at the stars, he yawned widely. "You familiar with constellations?" He asked her, curious.

She looked at him with a rather sad look. She knew none of constellations. How could she? She hadn't seen her mother ages.. never seen her father.. she had no friends.. how could she? She looked at him for a long while then replied.
"No.." she said in a rather sad, embarressed voice.

He merely smiled his charming, crooked half-smile. "Then lie down. I'll show them to you so you can learn them. Who knows? Maybe I'll do some good today..." He motioned to a place next to him, then resumed his gaze on the heavens above them. The aurora looked like the works of Da Vinci, colors elegently displayed throughout the skies.

She was startled. She nodded and lied down in the spot. She rolled over onto her back and looked up at the sky. All she saw was blazing stars. She just simply watched the sky.

For a very long time, Riley was silent. He was mesmerized by the beauty, grace, and elegence of the colors above them. He blinked to clear his head then pointed to a cluster of shimmering stars. "See that? That's in the shape of a lion. He's names Leo." He told her, voice a soft and velvet whisper. He didn't know why, but silence seemed golden right now. Or at least soft, whispering silence.

The femme looked at the stars immidiately seeing the constellation. Her face was full of joy. She watched it with much interest. Her pale golden eyes glistened.

Riley stole a quick glance at her, watching as the solemn sadness faded. It was replaced with such an astounding joy he swore his heart skipped a beat. But she had yet to break a true smile.... He continued onward, pointing out Vulpecula, the fox. "And right next to it is Canis Major, the large wolf, and Canis Minor, the smaller wolf." He pointed with his paws to different clumps of stars, glancing shyly at her now and then.

She watched all of them with much interest. She saw them all ever so clearly. She watched her face bright with enthusiasm. Her orange fur still a bit matted glowed. She still had a normal straight face. Her lips pressed together.

Riley hesitated a moment, seeing her features nearing a smile a bit more every moment. He nodded to another contellation amond the heavens. "That's Libra, the scaled of justice." he told her, voice still soft and careful. He felt greatly encouraged. So far, they'd made amazing progress today. And though he still didn't notice, Riley hadn't thought once of Silenthowl since he'd spoken to this wolf. And he scarcely would ever again. All of his pain and sorrow had been put into a different energy. And this energy was used to help and heal Dashina. He silently vowed to help her out after today, to help her become part of the pack again.

She looked up at it and again found it very easy to see. She read a story from the stars. She watched very closely as if it was a movie. She glanced away towards Riley, her pale golden eyes glistened yet again. She looked back at the stars then gave a long stare at Riley.
