Destiny paced worridly."What is shes lost.Or hurt.Or dead."She muttered to herself.Then she glanced around again.

"I hope so. Hopefully, I'll remember not to ever look at snow with the sun out." Zuni lifted a paw to scratch his eyes, but then he remembered Grug's words. "The real question is, will I be able to survive the pain."

Silver let out a low, soft worried whine. Silver licked Zuni's muzzle affectionately and rested her head on one of his paws, breathing in his scent. It had been a while since she'd actually been close to him and she had missed his company. She just hadn't wanted to get in the way of his family.

Alaskansong had fallen asleep for just a little while. Her dreams lead her to something horrible. She awoke with a jolt and looked around, she took a deep breath and rested her ehad back down on her white paws with a whimper.

Sky rolled back to her paws and stretched her limbs. She yawned and got up shakeing her fur. "Whats wrong?", she questioned Destiny carefully.

Zuni smiled. "Toobad I can't see you. Although, it's nice to be talking to you again, Silver."

Silver laughed lightly. "I'm not that good to look at Zuni and I'm not the best company" Silver joked, flicking his side with her tail. She glanced up at him and licked his muzzle, a smile on her visage.

[Destiny]

Destiny glanced over at Sky."It's Melody.She's not here.And she hasnt been seen for a long time.I'm worried she could be hurt or lost.She's our healer neophyte and an important member of the pack too."

Sky nodded. "But you must also think that there are other wolves in the pack", she barked to the Alpha resepectfully.

Alaskansong shifted a little bit and looked at Zuni and Grug.

"That's what you say!" Zuni could only feel a little of the pain now that he was happy. "I'd bite off anyone's head who'd say something bad about you."

"Aww I feel so loved" Silver barked, nuzzling Zuni's cheek. "Aren't you sweet?" Silver winked at Bluefrost whom was watching with interest from across the cave. Silver raised her head, feeling happier then she had in a long time now that she could talk to Zuni.

[Destiny]

Destiny nodded.It was a good think she ahd wolves like Sky in the pack.SOmetimes the alphess did not have a clue.

"Hmm..." Zuni smirked. He felt like opening his eyes, but once again, the snow blindness he had reminded him that he couldn't. Just two more days. They'll go by fast, I'm sure of it.

Once more, Silver rested her muzzle on his paw and started drifting off. The idea of another long, cold trek tomorrow only made her sleepier and the idea wasn't a welcome one. The cold winds howling outside the cave were enough to make any wolf want to curl up and go to sleep, anything to keep away the frigid cold.
