(Idk if I told you I finished Lirenia's mate? His name is Solaris ) Arkantos' tail twitched in suprise at Lirenia's explanation. Some wolf in the loner terras? Didn't they figure out who did it, or how it happened? Was it Black Fury, or are we talking about some new, hidden threat? And why is she keeping it so low-key?Freya, too, was curious, but after some thought, she concluded that Lirenia would've explained more about the death if she'd thought it was necessary. She might be a new leader, but she certainly wasn't ignorant. It was probably one of Black Fury's gang....poor Owen and Mist! And Sedei, too! She shuffled her paws, suddenly uneasy. Mist had had herself barely under control, though she'd declared war. It was probably more out of rage than leadership.....and Owen had seen simply lost. Had they really wanted to go on living? Solaris nodded to himself, thankful that Lirenia hadn't gone in depth. Mist had been murdered, assasinated, true, but the scene had given the Sheerans evidence that there hadn't been much of a struggle. Mist had not been on her last life, as learned and wizened as she'd been, and she had not had enough will power to survive. Not even enough for her pack, the pack she'd loved with all of her heart. Solaris did not blame her in the least -- as he was sure the rest of the pack did not --- but rather he felt for her. She'd seen more moons than many wolves did, and she'd served her time. Now it was time for Mist to rest in paradise and Lirenia to lead them forward.

{[Seidai's a boy, just to let ya know x3 ^^}]
Sabela's head bowed in grief, she had known something bad had happened the moment Lirenia had entered, but she had been avoiding it; acting as if Lirenia was just filling in from the alphess and beta, rather than stepping up to leadership after their deaths and disappearances. She waited, she would want to go last. She waited for Toss to speak next, maybe Iver would. She backed up a bit more, and raised her head, waiting.

(As I'm going camping, I can't respond to anyone who responds to this post. :/ But I'll post it anyway.)
Ligua was somewhere among the Yozorans, listening attentively. However, he was a little wrapped up in his thoughts, and seemed a little bit zoned-out to his surroundings.
Dunno what to think about my first battle. He grunted, and shifted uneasily. I wonder if I embarrassed myself. Oh well, it doesn't matter… His shoulder still stung.
Nectar lay in the dirt, listening intently to the announcements. At least, that’s what it seemed like. To tell the truth, most of the words were just going in one of her ears and out the other.
Next battle I’ll fight… I will, I can do it…
(Bah, I can't write. =_=)

The brute barely glanced to the other alphas as he made his way onto the Twilight Stone. Each step was painfully slow, as if he needed and eternity to compose himself but seconds would have to do. Iver knew there was nothing he could do at the moment. His heart had shut down, not literally, and he felt incapable of emotion. That was it. That was the answer. He wouldn't feel anymore. Ever.
Svel shifted uncomfortably from one paw to the other. She didn't like the fact that it was Toss who was leading her pack. And she didn't like the fact that Aliya was not around. Not even back at the camp. Silently, Svel wondered what had happened to her alphess.
The brute gave the other three alpha's a nod of the head, his eyes seemed lifeless, his expression ... non-existent, almost. Iver rolled back on his haunches, surveying the surrounding wolves, before sitting down completely. To say that Iver was not a wolf to afraid of would be like saying bunny rabbits were more dangerous the grizzly bears. Iver wasn't massive, but he was a good size for a wolf. His bodice was muscular, powerful. But Iver did have one great fault, of course he had others as well, that could throw him off his game. Emotion, feeling. So, what would happen now, that he refused to let either exist? Would he be numb and boring? Nothing to fear? Or would he be an even greater danger, with nothing to go by but his power, his authority as an alpha, and his blood lust, for every wolf had the lust for blood. "My pack, The Yozorans, have done well in the past moon." He said nothing about the famine, nothing about the skinny bodies, the threat of dying of starvation. "We have a new beta, Bain, who is courageous and strong, as well as a new Herb Healer, Kandoria." The brute racked his mind for some sort of compliment towards the Herb Healer he really did not know, but found none. Not that it mattered, his voice was so dead it wouldn't have been much of a compliment. "We welcome Truffle, Twig, Kasparr, Neveria, Autumn, Trianna, Rafael, Lyra and Shiro to the ranks of the neophytes. They are all training well and will one day be great warriors." Iver shifted his gaze, looking around. "We have many new pups, and a few new warriors. We welcome Lenius, Lionus, Erika and Kuno to those ranks." He might be forgetting someone; not that he cared. The brute nodded his head, turning his emotionless eyes on one of the other alpha's.

Fireflight looked intently to the large group of Yozoran neophytes. The Destinians may have been the largest pack a few moons ago, but times had certainly changed. They were above the Destinians in number now, and it seemed that Iver was hinting that they still had pups in the nursery. Her ears twitched slightly at this news, wondering if any of her comrades had picked up on it. Well, they might have us in numbers, but the Yozorans and wily and unpredictable. But what we can predict is that they'll hold to this pattern and teach their wolves that they won't have as much of a threat from us due to their numbers. They love to brag, so who could blame them in their pack for such a slip? Nah. If they make any moves on us, we'll be ready and waiting.

[[-runs over for autograph- I've always wanted to meet you god -is fangirl-]]
Lirenia, and every other leader for that matter, had spoken, execpt from Toss and Sabela. Would Toss be able to speak for his pack? He was such an old wolf, truly wise, but he would loosing his memory and seemed too old to leader. He wasn't in good condition. She was youthful, and had gotten a life of youth, it gave her the energy of a neophyte it seemed. She was ready for anything that came at her pack.

(sorry- haven't been feeling well...)
Blinking slowly, Toss then jolted, as if suddenly realizing that he was supposed to say something. Then, with a nearly drunken swagger, the Destinian Beta (little did he know, he was actually Alpha) sat in front of all the packs, staring back at their expectant faces. He froze.
Euphrates stared in utter disbelief at Toss when the wolf stopped. You GOT to be kidding me...
"...Toss?" Ashai yipped softly, raising a brow from where he sat in the front row. I can't believe I'm related to him...
"-we are gathered here today-"
"TOSS!"
"-to say that we are going to rage war on..."
Euphrates closed his eyes and inclined his head, half-mortified and half-ashamed at his 'leader's' performance.
Toss twitched his ears, seeing Ashai staring at him oddly. "... oh, right."
Ashai wanted to bury his head in the ground.
"...everything has been fine and well in the Destinian pack. Black Fury has not yet paid us a visit and we're all very happy! The end!" Looking very pleased with himself, Toss turned around and padded over to sit by the other leaders again.
Rapier shook his head back and forth silently, knowing very well that his mother would have never slipped up like that. Nor would Lakota, his father. Ah well- Toss will be Toss...
Lance glanced around him, meeting Kar's eyes. Wow they said silently.
While at first Bain had been caught up with the Sheeran news and felt pride flutter through him at his new title, he was quickly amazed at Toss' way at giving the news. ... He couldn't even think of an insult.
(X3 Toss is proud of himself)

Annelise glanced at her brother, eyes amused and restraining a giggle. "Imagine what could've happened just then," she snickered under her breath, "we could've suddenly been fighting with the Destinians, too!" She kidded. Her eyes only lingered on Kar for a moment -- they were busied with raking the crowd for Shade.
Fireflight grinned widely at Toss. "Good job, Toss. Hey, at least you made some of us loosen up a little! It's so....tense...." she grimaced. She, too, was tensing so badly she had to steady herself frequently. Something's not right here. I can sense it. Sabela better finish quickly...

Kar rolled his eyes with his lips twisted in a smirk, trying to restrain laughter. His sister certainly wasn't helping in that department. Eyes sliding to one side, he noticed that she had looked away again- eyes gliding through the crowd. Brow furrowing, he whispered softly, "Looking for somebody?"
Toss beamed, nodding at Fireflight... still overly happy with himself for giving the news as he saw it. In his mind, everyone was pleased with his performance. Of course, many strange things often happened in his mind...
Shade leaned toward Bain, who was looking disgruntled... well, more disgruntled than usual. "Relax," he muttered cooly, rolling his eyes. Bain could be so touchy with protocol and appearances, and Toss had gone against everything. Not that anyone could blame the forgetful old fellow.

Annelise shrugged nonchalantly. "Just for Kandoria. I haven't had a chance to talk to her yet, and she's the Yozoran's new healer. I hope to meet her soon....and Silas and Kiki, too. Well, I've met them, but it was very brief. I'm hoping to see them at the half-moon," she lied sleekly. She used to be horrid at the art, but with so much practice, it seemed almost painfully easy. And indeed, she usually did feel guilty about it for a while. Until she met with Shade, that was. Then it was all good 'n' happy. XD
Nightshade glanced up to Sabela, wondering why she'd chosen to be last. Probably just being courteous. She looked around the gathering of wolves, shuffling her paws uneasily. Something was definitly up.

Sabela smiled kindly to Toss, and stepped forward. "We are gathered--er sorry..." she made a face. "I mean.. All is well in our pack, the prey is fine, and Black Fury's attacks are very rare[she just lied], since the battle. I suppose he must aid his 'pack' before attacking." she paused. "I will tell you in advance: I will have new warriors, and neophytes to announce next meeting." she smiled in approval and stepped back, awaiting for someone to call the meeting off. "I shouldn't say this aloud, but is it just me who feels something is going to happen?" She shrugged and looked to the packs. "Anyone?"

Nightshade nodded to Sabela's last words, eyes reflecting her internal unease. "It's in the air; you can taste it! It was like this at the last gathering, only not as...intense...." Nightshade spoke, tail twitching slightly.
Fireflight frowned, sighing heavily. She weighed the options, then stepped forward. "I agree-" she stopped abruptly, eyes wide and she gazed into the forest around them. Smoke stacks rose up from the woodlands in thick, black swirls, rising into the dark, moonless night. The fiery warrior let out a small gasp, backing away slightly.
Without warning, a roaring erupted into the ears of the wolven race. The fire shot up without warning on the trees, clibing from branch to branch, from tree to tree, the orange copper tongues licked and intoxicated every visible tree, every last one. Nothing was left to surround them except for and angry, blazing ring. The smoke began to flood the clearing, choking, filling lungs, slowing heartbeats, and stinging eyes. In a short instant, chaos had descended on black wings into the home of wolven legends.
Fireflight duscked low to the ground, coughing as the black fog swept through her. She looked around, narrowing her eyes as ash and soot began to fly and swirl in the blazing haze. "DESTINIANS! FLEE HOMEWARD! WE MUST GET BACK TO CAMP AND FIND THE OTHERS!" She howled, praying to Wind and all the heavenly beings of Twilight that they would hear her and be capable of following.

"FLEE HOME! COME ON SIVERIANS!" the alphess roared to her pack. She wouldn't leave until every other wolf was gone. "GO GO! COME ON COME ON!" she yelled, not mad, just very, very concerned for her back. "NIGHTSHADE LEAD THEM HOME! GO! HURRY!" she ordered, eyes making sure that no wolf had disappeared in the rising smoke, or in the fire. "Hurry!" she repeated.
Sheera's wolfie feld. ^^
