Snare yawned boredly at the pack wolf as his words droned on and on -- rebuffs of her accusatory attacks. Ah, well. Independence was never a pack strong suit. She maintained a waiting, crouched position, swaying impatiently from side to side. Let him come to me! I'll be ready for whatever crap he tries to pull! "Come on, pup!" She scoffed, "Hit me with the best you've got!" If you dare to try! Huh! I can see you tremble, you blind, bluthering, idiot! He plowed on relentlessly with his attempt at some sort of heroic resistance speech. All right, enough's enough! Snare grolwed dangerously under her breath. He's got it coming for him! She coiled her haunches, preparing to spring in for a deft, swift attack. A half a second before she leaped, Jolon made his move. For a moment, she was desensitized as he turned her own tactics against her. A fresh wave of fury boiled in her gut. Her lopsided smile faded in an instance. She dodged in his opposite direction. Suddenly, he lashed out at her legs in an attempt to knock her off balance. Immediately, she bucked upwards with her hindlegs in a last-second attempt to avoid the unanticipated maneuver. How in hell did he change the game so fast on me? Not fair! She nearly cleared him, but she had made the move far too soon; he clipped her left hind leg, but the force of the move was enough to send her tumbling to the ground. "No, no, no, no!" She hissed and spat with indignation as the air was forcefully pushed from her body. Get up, Snare, get up before he moves another inch! Snare flew to her paws, and, hoping he was already moving towards her, immediately launched a defense. She crouched low to the dusty earth, the tangled fur of her belly slightly brushing the ground. She stampeded forward and launched herself upwards as she neared Jolon, hoping to send him off balance. Her counterattack was well-calculated, but Snare felt shaken from the pack wolf's offensive. I have to get him out of the way quick...

I’m in conniptions for the final act you came here for The one derivative you manage is the one I abhorKill shrugged her shoulders, hissing in protest at the appearance of yet another questionable familiar. “What the hell—?” She skidded wildly beneath the onslaught of two attackers, lashing out blindly at whatever she could reach. Is this all there is left? Are there no able Yozorans to fight me, only these traitors? Pitiful!Crippled by wounds, the Alpha sunk lower, yet maintained a constant, unblinking stare. A slight convulsion circulated a tremor throughout his veins, but his speech grew more lively and amplified. Excitement and enthusiasm roused in his chest and stream of words dripped from his maw. [glow=maroon,2,300] “Not a pack wolf, am I? Well, I am certainly not a Blood Mist, I would assume. So, tell me, how do you distinguish the two? We both eat, do we not? We both breathe the same air… we both desire, more or less, the same things. No, we are both far closer than either side is willing to admit… ”[/glow] His muzzle contorted with the expression of someone reciting a joke, but trying desperately hard not to laugh before revealing the punch line. [glow=maroon,2,300] “In fact, there is only one solitary difference between you and me. You kept your name!”[/glow] The hyena trills vocalized, stifled barely by the blood bubbling in his throat. [glow=maroon,2,300] “All we need is a Verlust and a Lupus, and we could stage our own personal reenactment! Aha, but then again, that is but the broad picture. Between you and I, personally, there is but one more difference: I actually know what I am trying to accomplish, and why. Because, let us face reality here—we both only have one life. Yours is just a little more… flexible than mine.”[/glow] I need a minute to elaborate for everyone The everyday bullshit things that you have done

Yes! He'd hit her! Finally an attack had worked against her. She fell down and his eyes lit up with a bit of hope. Now it was her turn to attack and he was surprised at how fast she got back up. Snare was stampeding towards him with all her might. His tail swished as he waited for her. His eyes noticed the pressure on her hind legs. She's going to jump!, he thought. Sure enough she did and he ran forward quickly.
This would make her mind go into gear for sure. In his peripheral vision, she was in the air above him and kept soaring forward. His paws stopped him and he skidded on the ground and then bunched his own haunches and lept after her. Jolon's maw opened as he came down. In his eyes this would work, but who knew. His shoulder was hurting, but he ignored it as he soared.

How....? Snare felt the breeze from under her as Jolon turned and sprang after her. Upon collision with the ground, she dropped and rolled to the side to avoid his well-placed lunge. Her position was now horrifyingly vulnerable. Survival instinct told her this may very well be a turning point in the battle, but she drove on ruthlessly. What have I got to lose, my life? I'm not so worried about that -- I'll be back soon enough. She kicked upwards with her legs, sprining into a defensive crouch. Her eyes fastened on Jolon's every move. She held herself in a tensed position, ready to move the moment her enemy did. Winded, she hissed breathlessly, "You mongrel!"
To terrify a master of the terrible was a grand feat, but the tremors that shivered through Regulus' body were ones of foreboding coldness. He reminds me of Death...he has his own agenda outside of any lines of pack or Blood Mist....an unpredictable sociopath... If any other wolf were to talk about Regulus in such a manner, he would have reacted with immediate defiance and violence. The wolf before him was a separate case entirely; whatever words left his mouth were twisted and tangled into a bizarre response that left him ultimately speechless. But this wolf...this wolf is dangerous. Not just to his own pack...but to Blood Mist as well. I don't care what his agenda is, I can tell already it's not the same as Blood Mists'. Verlust, Lupus..... Fleetingly, he remembered Babylonia, the lone Blood Mist mother and heir to the leadership of their clan. He is a threat. He must be eliminated...but not by brute force. We must trick him. But still, the names left chilling thoughts in his brain. Babylonia remembers Verlust and old Blood Mist...we want to bring back our old dominance. If she is eliminated, whatever agenda this wolf has...it is big enough to consume this entire valley. All of this, from the cold glint in Bain's eyes and the strange words formations that passed from his lips. Fearfully, Regulus drew back. "And what is it you aim to accomplish? I'm afraid your arrogance blinds you, friend; we too have a known purpose. You assume we do not because you are blind to the truth. One day, perhaps, you will see." Regulus turned and fled briskly into the forest with the seeds of fear in his heart.

He had only moments to calculate what she was doing. Then his paws hit the ground as she went into a defensive crouch and screamed at him. A smile played onto his lips. He was getting to her for sure. Jolon placed his back legs onto the ground and didn't stop his movement, he leapt forward in the way he had landed.
As he was paces into it, he whipped around and found himself away from her muzzle and near her side. Not even thinking, he opened his jaws wide, ready to clamp down as soon as his tackle drove his fangs into her fur.

Snare caught a flash of fur flicker past her. Her maw dropped open slightly, eyes widened with surprise and even a glimmer of fear. Regulus is fleeing? She took a brief inventory of the wolves left around her, dismay crossing her features. She was one of the few Blood Mists that still remained. We delivered a sharp blow to the Yozorans....but we're outnumbered now. Next time, we'll finish them off. Abandon ship! She snarled one last time at that hateful Jolon, and then she turned tail and sprinted into the underbrush. All of Sivvy's other Blood Mist wolves fled, too =P. Sylvana delivered a sharp bite to Kill's....leg.

Jolon drove up short as Snare stopped attacking and began to flee. He cocked his head very confused and a sly smile lit his lips as she snarled hatefully at him. He'd down his job and he was very proud. The male's shoulder burned as he watched Snare flee.
Others left and he blew up with pride and happiness. Only then did he look at his shoulder to see how badly it was. The female of Blood Mist had left quite a mark on him. The wound looked like a huge slab of skin had been ripped off. Blood swelled out of it, but was slowing down. It wasn't as bad as it could have been. His leg was going to get sore and stiff if he didn't keep walking on it, but then again blood would keep flowing. Best not to lose his blood.
Jolon looked around and realized the battle was about over anyways and when all the other wolves realized many of the Blood Mist's had left, they'd back off. Putting his foreleg up to his chest, he threw up his head and howled with triumph for Yozoron Pack. He was hoping his fellow fighters would share in the call to scare the darkness and hurt away. Don't ever come and mess with my pack again Blood Mist or I'll be ready, we all will, to through you back to the abyss of hellfire!, he thought and his howl echoed his warning.
