"In my throat, I believe." Polychrome answered right before dropping her head on the ground. The pain seemed less now already, as she was in care. Disappointed in herself, Polychrome looked out into the sky, it was smearing a bit up, yet the bitter cold stung her bones. The healer took the herbs on her mouth and smeared it on Polychrome scared ribs. Hissing in pain, A sharp sting streaked her side. "Oh boy!" Polychrome yelped. She shook rapidly, but in a few seconds she seized and felt intensely relaxed. "Much better than fighting a group of insane Blood mist hounds." Polychrome said. The healer chuckled and put the herbs down to The ground. Relief flooded Polychrome, and just like a swift rush of lightning, she needed to get back on her feet and run through the forest again and show those mad wolves who is boss. Nevertheless, she was halted by the healer, obviously, she was still injured. Laying back down on the warmer ground, Polychrome licked her scared paw, looking at the sky outside the den. The sky wasn't going to get any better. ((Acacia's right, Grimmy, but don't worry, it's an easy mistake to make and one that a lot of people make when they start out Please edit your post -- I bolded the problem parts. Baically, powerplay is writing as someone else's character, which you can't do. If you want help with this, send me a PM Feather: Ooops, sorry! xD This is confusing! )) Fire flamed at the corner of her eye, off on the Blood Mist side of the line. Then again, they were battling on Blood Mist territory, so everything was happening on their side of the line. Fireflight, her nausea and fatigue towering like mountains over her head, battled on despite her failing vision and numbed senses. Assyria, though fighting evenly with the alpha, was even worse off than she; she had killed Fireflight at the beginning, but was unable to hit the refresh button and wake up with a new life like the alpha could. Soon, their battle would turn deadly, but it was unclear for who. Paris chuckled softly, darkly. "Why, even you, Krueger, would have to admit that we are animals at the base of our natures. What the idiots did doesn't matter so much as how they will be punished."All's fair in love and war.Kasparr and Autumn, momentarily lost in the bloody fray, emerged from the thick of the chaos and found each other laced with new battle wounds. "Let's find Jolon," Autumn howled over the raging winds that swooped down over the throng of wolves. Kasparr nodded, and the two went in search of their Yozoran ally.

Jolon smirked as the Siverian landed her blow perfectly. Arachna was now backing up and seemed frustrated. She was no longer attacking, but using defensive moves. They had her on the run.
From the smell the eminated from the Siverian, he could tell it was an alpha. A question of when and how and where and why came to him, but he forced them back. Surely all would be said in good time. Right now all he needed to do was fight the Blood Mist off.
A streak of lightening flew through the sky and his sight was momentarily lost. When he saw color again, fire was thrown against his vision. It was far back in the battlefield, but now it had a presence in the fray. He saw Arachna's eye glint with mischeviousness. She knew that all animals, even wolves, were scared of fire, except the undead such like she. They both had to show this wolf that they weren't ordinary wolves and that they would keep fighting to drive the disease out of the pack lands. Blood Mist had killed way too many of Yozoran pack, of any pack, and now they too had to suffer.
Jolon's black form swerved in a circle towards the right of Arachna. He then jumped as high as he possibly could and launched himself at the Blood Mist. The Yozoran hoped beyond hopes that the Siverian would launch herself for under Arachna. This way they had her cornered with no way to go. She was sure to get a licking.

Aradis flung her ears back at ear splitting thunder, unable to hear anything once it was gone. She found herself on the ground, knocked over by the shock of the lightning. Her head hurt, and she couldn't think straight. Although her hearing didn't return fully, she could make out the slight crackling of fire, as she turned to see their source.
Aradis bit her lip as she stared at the flames, which whispered unknown voices to her, telling her, to do something. Coming back to some senses, she staggered to her paws, cooling ash already sticking to her pelt. In a muffled earth and an annoying ring in her ears, it was hard to do much, with a huge distraction. She got up in time to see Jolon leap at Arachna, high and with good aim.
Without thinking, Aradis sprang forward, her belly hardly skimming the earth as she dived under Arachna's paws, using her front paws to aim at the joint in her legs, which, as a young pup, had learned would make the enemy topple over.

Gossip glared at Griffen as he charged away, leaving him and Cora at a stand still. He sighed, angry at himself for not getting the job done and killing the damn brute. "Fine." He tore his gaze away from where Griffen had vanished back into battle, biting his lip. "Damn him.." He limped away, wincing at each step he took like it was the end of the world for him.

Cora ushered Gossip to her healing post at the edge of the woods. Briskly, she began pawing through herbs and chewing them up to form a cooling poultice to spread over the wound. "It's like what I used before," she told him, "Used to stop infection." Cora smiled a little at Gossip as she worked. He's a nice wolf, she decided, though she wasn't sure if she was ready to admit to him that she thought that.
Aracha felt her legs buckle underneath her. She hit the ground hard, a sickening crunch signaling the failure of one of her ankles. She looked up in the nick of time to see the Yozoran over head. In a quick maneuver, she rolled to the side -- towards the flames, though not actually inside of them -- and out of range. She came to a wobbly stand -- her sprained ankle shrieking in protest as she forced herself swiftly to her feet. Snarling, she tossed hot embers in the eyes of her enemies with a sweep of her paw. Furiously, she glared at the Blood Mists on the sidelines -- Bloodsbane and Macabre in particular. I'm being tagteamed here, stop lolling around, losers!

(ha ha, sorry. I got a bit carried away. Ill try better this time. so Ill just redo the post.) Polychrome waited to be healed, looking up at the sky, she saw the night and its gleaming stars in the horizon twinkling stars like powder. (Just what happened to me at the battle?) she thought to herself. Recollecting the scene she encountered with the other wolves. However, she couldn't remember any memory other than seeing the dark wolf wisp away over the hill. Answering the healer, she said "in my throat I believe." Waiting to be healed, Polychrome tried to remember the fight, but failed, stretching her legs, all Polychrome knew was that she was in good care for now. Attachments:

((Good job, Grimmy, that was perfect ^^ ))
Kaylee watched anxiously as Polychrome waited for treatment. She bowed her head and looked out towards the battlefield. She herself had a few smarting scars and sratches, but the poor Destinian healer neophyte was on her own to treat every wolf that cross her path. I can wait until we get home, Kaylee decided. "You should probably take it easy, Polychrome," she suggested. "It's only gonna get rougher out there."

Aradis flinched away a tad late as burning ashes was flicked towards her, some of the flakes searing her fur. With a snarl she backed away, staring at the blood mist wolf right in front of the flames. "Why you little bitch!" She lunged herself forward, aiming herself to ram into Arachna hoping to throw the injured wolf's balance off so she would go into the flames. Damn hellfire...
____________
Gossip nodded as Cora spoke, not looking away from his paws for one second. His ears were dropped to the side of his head as he listened to the battle and crackle of flames, all the while mixed with lightning and thunder. With the flames licking at anything they could burn, he wondered to who's advantage they would be. No one's, not even hellfire He glanced up at the sky, watching as the smoke rose up, bringing with it the feeling of a broken nightfall. The hopes of rain didn't come, letting the fire rage on for as long as it wanted, would it really destroy more?

Beaming from ear to ear, Arachna ducked as the Siverian alpha lunged at her. Oh, I'm the little bitch, huh? Let's see how THIS bitch likes fire, then! She hoped her duck would be enough for the alpha to sail over her head and into the flames. Now wouldn't that be a sight -- cooked Siverian on a stick! Lovely. I wonder if I'll get her to cough up one of those lives of hers. Privately, Arachna wondered how long she'd be able to continue like this if the Siverian didn't burn and her idiotic packmates didn't intervene. My ankle's done. Ah,well, let's just hope she roasts, then.
Gossip was unusually quiet; Cora followed his gaze as he looked out onto the battlefield. He's already eager to get back in there, Cora sensed. She began to apply the cooling poultice to his wounds, and when he had finished, she began to wrap them in the cobwebs he had helped her collect a few days previous. "You're going to have to rest for a little bit," she said sternly, "but you should get some more fighting time in before this is over."

Polychrome layed on the ground, feeling less pressure from her hit. After the healer told her to take it easy, Polychrome yet looked outside. "Yes, I know. But I have to fight. I was raised to never stop fighting, to never give up no matter the cost." But as Polychrome said those words, an image of her father protruded in her mind. (No matter, he was right in some things.) Running in the snow and jumping over the dead marsh and trees. Spying on wild game, exchanging stories of dreams and jokes. Polychrome liked that father, not the one that forced her to do kill her own kind. To watching her mother howl at him with defense. And her brother ripped to shreds in a matter of seconds because of his rage. Nevertheless, he was right about this. Honor is very important to Polychrome, more valuable that life itself. "Once I get better, I will go back, and know what I'm doing this time." Polychrome grinned. Attachments:

Kaylee couldn't help but feel a twinge of respect for the warrior. Despite her initial shock, Kaylee thought Polychrome must be formidable, and certainly determined. The young neophyte looked out across the battlefield, swathed in blood and tangles of fighitng wolves. "When we first arrived, we took them off guard, but now the surprise is wearing off," she noted. "There hasn't been any sign of the Sheerans yet, but if they arrived, it would be an even match. Twilight knows how Blood Mist managed to get so huge over night...." She looked around for her brother, Griffen, but couldn't pick him out from the raging throng. Her eyes widened as she caught sight of a fire in the distance. The fire was spreading fast, the lusting flames leaping greedily from tree to tree and devouring them one by one. That could be a huge problem unless it starts to rain...

Jolon was just about to hit the Blood Mist when the Siverian caushed Arachna to fall. When the she-wolf found him above her, she rolled out of the way. He hit the ground and turned towards the Blood Mist with burning eyes.
From the way Arachna was holding herself, he knew that one of her ankles was messed up. It seemed the Siverian had given a harsh blow. To his dismay, he noticed her jump at Arachna again. He saw the Blood Mist duck. The fire was crackling and he knew that if her jump didn't stop short, it would consume her.
The dark warrior leapt at Arachna's back legs as the fire framed his form. He was going to push her towards the Siverian adn then Arachna would be attacked from two sides, the back and front.

Kasparr nodded towards the edge of the clearing, where the trees were aflame. "Autumn, that's Jolon! He looks alright, but what about the fire?" Autumn frowned with worry. "Let's head over there," she decided. The two siblings picked their way throught he crowd and best they could. Before they could reach Jolon, a gigantic, red-furred brute blocked their path. "Going somehwere?" The wolf chuckled. With a giant forepaw, he sent Autumn reeling onto her back and delivered a sharp blow to Kasparr's cheek. Shit! Kasparr thought deserperately, he's enormous! Little did the two young wolves know that they were battling with none other than Bloodsbane, one of the most brutal wolves ever known. He wasn't too quick with his brains, but certainly could make up for it with his might. Presently, he loomed over them with a sinister smile.
Arachna howled as the Yozoran leaped after her from the side. She collapsed onto her belly with legs splayed out. She kicked out at Jolon with her hindlegs. Fine, let the Siverian get me, but I'm tossing you straight into the fire!

Aradis' eyes widened as she saw the flames, the figure of Arachna ducking out of the way of her lunge. Her tail flew down, making her balance throw off as her rear end dropped, landing her in the dirt, right next to the fire. "Dammit!" She hissed as her attack had been dodged, and now she was really facing danger.
She managed to glance over her shoulder in time so see Jolon leap at Arachna, knocking the warrior right over. With a swift movement she rose to her paws, stumbling slightly at the sudden movement. Her muzzle shot down, in an attempt to get her jaws around Arachna's neck.

Gossip nodded slowly, looking away from the battle that tore him two ways. "Before this is over, I fear this will never be over..." He lay his head on his paws, closing his eyes and listening to the thunder. I am, yes I'm not. He knew what was happening beyond his thoughts, it was good against bad, and he knew that, all too well inside himself.

(totally forgot about the ashes thrown at them....XD))
Dismay hit him as he saw the Siverian miss. Then he felt pain at his chest. Blinking back to his prey, he gasped. She had kicked him at the last moment and he could feel his body falling towards the fire. The heat grew behind him. He noticed Kasparr and Autumn on the ground ahead of them, but then they were gone and only darkness met his eyes as he blinked.
Desperately, he angled his self with his tail at the last moment. His paws found the ground. Quickly, he ran out of the area that was hottest. A feeling of burning flesh made him turn around after he slowed down. One of his hind legs had been burned, just on the back, but it still hurt. Now both him and Arachna had hurt legs. This was becoming interesting.
From his position, he ran towards Arachna, wanting to clamp onto any of her flesh as hard as possible and tear it into his awaiting mouth. Aradis was already after the neck and he followed suit with the stomach. He opened his jaws just before he was about to lean down.

Arachna was in a terrible spot, and she knew it; they had gotten her to roll onto her stomach, but she'd be damned if she ever stopped trying. She'd gotten the Yozoran good -- she relished the sight of his burned hindleg. If I can hold my own and get out of this position, the Yozoran'll be finished pretty quick, and I just gotta get that stupid little Siverian to burn herself a little bit and then it'll be finished. They think they have me cornered cause there's two of them, huh, well we'll just see about that! She tucked her hind legs up to protect her exposed belly. As the Yozoran lunged at her, Arachna lashed back at him with a powerful kick from her back legs. Her focus on him had forced her eyes away from the Siverian. Arachna howled in agony and fangs bore themselves into her shoulder, perilously close to her neck. Hissing and spitting in fury, Arachna bent her head and locked her teeth into the Siverian's ear in retaliation.
Cora peered curiously at Gossip, mild worry in her blue eyes. "Are you alright? You were so excited for the battle before, but you don't seem like it now," she woofed honestly. She patted the cobweb bandages to make sure they would stay, then took a step back to admire her handiwork.
