Aradis felt a sharp pain in her ear as she saw Arachna move slightly to bite her ear. While the Blood Mist warrior really had no power by doing that, she didn't either. Not moving from her spot she only ripped her head away, but quickly lunged back, this time determined to get where she first aimed. She felt the warm substance as blood dripped from her ear and onto her cheek, and she winced as he ear stung.
_________
Gossip dared not to open his eyes, instead listened as the crackle of fire spread. He felt slight pressure on his nose, making him sneeze. His eyes shot open to see the culprit, as the flake of ash fell back to the dust. Grunting, Gossip heaved himself into a sitting position, letting his gaze watch the flames. "That fire is spreading." He said, trying to change the subject.

Arachna glared coldly at the Siverian, watching with snake-slitted eyes as her fangs ripped through the alpha's ear. The Siverian was striking again quickly; as she did so Arachna rolled away and onto her paws once more, hissing and spitting at the wolf. "You two are pathetic! Even if you kill me know, think of how long we've been going at it -- and there's two of you! One-on-one, I'd have you both dead in a few seconds. You know it, too -- that's why you have to double team me. I'm stronger than you'll ever be!"But, of course, though she'd managed to escape the Siverian, Arachna had diverted all of her attentions away from the Yozoran.
A little ways away, Etheris watched Arachna, Jolon, and Aradis fight perilously near to the flames. He recognized her as the Blood Mist who'd taken Fireflight's pups after he'd lured them to the edge of the camp, where no one could see. That might not be enough for these wolves....I might have to prove my loyalty some other way... Determindly, the traitorous Destinian pelted towards the firey rim of the clearing, took a mighty leap, and aimed for the Siverian's shoulders.
Cora blinked at Gossip through slitted eyes. Fine then, don't tell me! She went about organizing her herbs, pawing through each pile and putting them back together again, though she'd taken count numberous times. She caught sight of the orange flames flickering out of the corner of her eye and gasped in surprise. "Arachna's awfully close," she murmured. "The thing with this fire is the Hellfirians aren't afraid of it, but I'd bet you my tail they can still get burned. You don't become fireproof; you can burn until your nerves all die, but you can't ever be fireproof."

((Let's see how I do in twisting things up a bit.))
Gossip, spacey and moving his paw in the dust, hardly heard Cora as she spoke, only lost within his own thoughts, in an endless space. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a wolf charge towards where Arachna, Aradis and some other wolf that he didn't recognize were fighting. Perking his ears up, he saw the one on two turn into two on two, and one of the wolves wasn't even Blood Mist.
He shot to his paws, tail lashing behind him as he watched Etheris topple Aradis over. Half growling half whining he looked to Cora, blinking slightly and letting a frown form along his features. "It can't end like this." Without her response, he charged off, fighting his limp and charging right towards the four wolves.
Gossip, without watching what was going on around him, leaped in the air, paws extended and aimed at Arachna, a silent snarl frozen on his face. "STOP!"
_______________
Aradis, lifting her muzzle out of the dirt, shot a sidelong glare at Arachna, only to be hit two seconds later, rolling across the dirt. She shook her head to see a Destinian, the one who had knocked her over. "Damn traitor!" She staggered to her paws, spatting at the new enemy. Then out of no where, another figure leaped out. She groaned, lifting her head to the sky slightly. But, the new wolf, clear as day being a blood mist, didn't aim at her, instead at his own pack mate, yelling a command that couldn't be heard by her ears in the thunder.

( Ooooooh snap! ) Cora gasped in shock as Gossip tore off suddenly. Her eyes widened in horror, and then slitted in fury as she realized his target. Goddamned traitor! And to think, I was actually starting to like him! This is ludicrous! He's making a fool out of us...making a fool out of me! Cora made a promise to herself to never trust that foul bastard again. He deserved to burn, I hope he does! "Hey!" She snarled to Paris, who was still casually leaning against a nearby tree. "Stop lounging around and go take care of the rogue pest. And to think I wasted my herbs on that asshole!"Sighing softly, Paris relented and shrugged away from the tree, dipping his head to Krueger as he went. His eyes followed Gossip's form as it streaked towards a swath of battling wolves near charred, flaming trees. Paris's eyes widened slightly as he gazed up at the blackened branches. It's going to fall before I even get there... He surged forward, hoping to salvage his packmate before she burned, but knowing all the while he would be too late. The fire was roaring in her ears as she laid, bloody and broken in the crackling undergrowth. Soot and ash funeled into her lungs and she began to cough fitfully. For the first time since the battle began, worry began to crease the features of the Blood Mist she-wolf. So much for that immunity to fire... Inexplicably, the Siverian was no longer coming at her, but someone else was; sharp claws ripped across her flanks as Gossip fell upon her. Oh, fuck you! Snarling with cold resignation, eyes glinting with demoniac intentions, she let him come at her. She lie there for as long as she could before the flames licking at her tail were unbearable, and then she surged upwards from the ground, aiming to throw her weight into the other warrior and send them both into the furnace that swelled all around them. The flames, filling in quickly, would allow for only the narrowest and improbable of escapes. I'm taking this traitor down with me!Etheris snarled and spat boldly back at the Siverian alpha. "Am I really such a traitor, or is it all of you? I am a talented, strong wolf, and I've gone unappreciated for too long! I won't let all of you hold me down!" Fiercely, he lashed out at her with his forepaws. Over head, pieces of charred bark began to fall from a flaming tree; soon, the branch would topple. A little ways away, a wolf of sleek, ebony and ivory fur moved through the woods with a small, contented smile upon his muzzle. It had begun, he knew it; he'd known it from the very first time he'd laid eyes on the one that called himself Hades. The revolution had begun, the great race to save lupinekind from destroying itself. Oh, how he pitied their destruction. Violence was not a leisure -- no, not at all -- but it was a mighty tool that could do mighty things. And the Revolution, indeed, was a mighty thing that needed to be done. Let us make an impression in their brains, yes -- help them along as they quest for truth and sanity. This battle is a poor, misjudged mistake, but I suppose there is a time where children must be beaten into subordinance if they are to ever learn. But I will do them a favor; I will pluck one away from the others. They need not all die -- no, that would be such a waste, such a terrible waste. Just one, just for the blood to flow before their eyes. Then, I think, they'll understand. Robespierre continued along in the brush on the outskirts of the battle, searching for the perfect candidate.

Aradis, standing wide eyed as the two Blood Mist wolves toppled into the fire, didn't even hear her next enemies words, only felt paws push her around, as she thought about the risk the male had taken. With a yelp back into reality she stumbled onto her haunches, sitting in an awkward position for a few moments. She met the males next attack by pushing her front paws at his chest, trying to throw him back.
She was more sitting than standing, her tail splayed behind her to keep balance as she launched her own attacks, panting slightly from everything she had done before. The branches cracked above her, and she watched black flakes of bark fall onto the ground. Her head shot up looking at the branches as they hung by a mere thread. With a furious snarl, she launched herself at the wolf. Sure, she may lose a life if the branch fell, but she would be taking the bastard with her, even if it drained all the last of her strength.

Gossip was pushed into the flames with a yelp of surprise. He had been so close! And now his life was gonna end at the the fire's mouth. I don't think so! Staggering to his paws he looked at the branches above him, then leaped through the fire, flicking his tail in between his legs and throwing his paws over his head. He rolled out on the other side, landing next to Aradis and Etheris, as the two wolves battled it under the weak tree. Coming to a stop beside Aradis, he nudged the alpha out of the way, leaving the branch to topple as it's life ended.

He was out of her grasp before she could see where he went, but Arachna couldn't conjure a care. Her eyes caught on a tear in the flames, and without hesitation, she rushed through it and tore off into the night, pelt still smoldering with the fire. I'll come back for you, traitor. Maybe not today, but certainly another day.
Her blows, luckily, pushed him backwards and away from the brunt of the flames. His eyes caught the snipping of the thread as the branched tumbled into the flames. Bleeding from scratches she'd left on his chest, Etheris gave her a shove towards the flames and leaped back quickly.
Cora clung to a nearby tree, hardly away of the tears that leaked down her cheek. She couldn't decide what she was more upset about, or why her heart was really racing; because Gossip had almost died in front of her, or because he'd betrayed them. I thought we were friends, sorta, Cora thought miserably. She turned her face away from the scene, unable to bear looking anymore. I can't believe this is happening-- Her thoughts were cut short as a howl rang out over the warring wolves from the highest point of the rise. Cora looked up sharply, eyes huge as she looked upon the spectacle.
He'd found her quite easily; she'd wandered away from the healer, perhaps taking a small breather from the fighting. It's okay, little one, hush now, it'll be over quick enough. Let the forces of death work quickly upon you -- hush now. Just think of the amazing purpose your death will serve, and how many other deaths it will stop if those watching understand and cease their ignorant ways. Just think how much of a difference you'll make. The young girl, a neophyte, but the looks of it, was limp in his grasp as he hauled her to the top of the rise and let out a high-pitched howl, beckoning to those who battled around him. "Wolves of all nations, I am Robespierre, and I am here before you in the name of the Revolution of wolvenkind! Let us be liberated, friends, from the ignorance that binds us so! I hereby sacrifice this Siverian in the name of all that is right, LET HER BURNING BLAST THE STUPIDITY FROM YOUR BRAINS!" Robespierre took a hold of Kaylee's scruff and tossed her into the sweltering flames.
"NO! KAYLEE! NO!" He was running, screaming, and crying all at once. Griffen tore across the clearing with a shriek ripping the air as he went. Sweating buckets, he reached the dancing edges of the flames and, screaming in defiance, he prepared to plunge headlong into the pyre. "HELP! ARADIS, KAR, HELP!" He took the leap and streaked into sizzling brush to search for his sister.

Looking at the distance of the war that was before her eyes, Polychrome licked her lips together inn tension. Sprouts of fire burst from the distance, shinning brightly in the horizon and mountains. Getting up, yet feeling a bit sore, Polychrome walked up to the opening of the den. Remembering what the healer had said, Polychrome thought to herself in silence. (I just cant understand all the thoughts that bombard me of my freedom. However, it all comes down to...) a shriek of a wolf from the outside woke Polychrome out of her meditation. Stirring in the distance of the dark, she could see the carnage of the remains in the plain. It disgusted Polychrome, but it only meant one thing; she had to go help. Her legs tingling with excitement-a yearning to run forward in the blood tracks of other warriors. The whispering sensation telling her to go forward. Looking behind her into the warm den, Polychrome closed her eyes. (Is this right? It has to be? It meant to be.) Polychrome, yet sore, took a step forward to the outside. "This is going to be really stupid of me" She said to herself, and started running to the unknown horrors to come after her, and dedicate their actions to her woes and innocence.

Aradis felt herself pushed into the flames for a split second, then was nudged into the nearest undergrowth by another wolf, who's fur was burned and blackened with ash. As she collapsed to her side on the dirt panting, she looked up at her rescuer, who was standing over her with a smile on his face. "Thank you..." She hardly muttered the words as she fell into a pitiful cough, her sides heaving with the effort of simply breathing.
As the world darkened around her, she heard the beginnings of a howl, and then, nothing was heard. She found herself standing in a large clearing, the grass soft and cool underpaw, and the heat of flames banished from the air, leaving the crisp dew of the night. She knew where she was, by the starry figure who stood in front of her, worry and pride on her face. "Young Aradis, you have lost your first life, and mother nature was the culprit." Her mother leaned forward, nuzzling her daughter. "Now go help put this all to an end."
Aradis' eyes shot open, finding the large brown male laying in front of her, worry in his eyes. The flames still could be heard, and the howl that had begun earlier seemed to start again, as if time had frozen for her. Finding new strength and no troubles breathing, she rose to her paws, stepping past Gossip and out of the bush so she could see who was summoning the howl. Her eyes widened as she saw Kaylee at his paws, and what seemed like milaseconds later, she was tossed into the fire, Griffen soon trying to follow.
With a dazed look, she charged forward, jumping in front of and blocking Griffen's path into the fire, keeping her paws firm on the ground. "Don't go!" She yelped at the male. She wasn't loosing any more pack mates today.

Gossip nodded as the alpha muttered thanks, laying in front of her as the fire roared in his ears. His grey eyes turned to an amber shock as the alphess stopped breathing, her body going limp. "No no.." He nudged the still female, his nose leaving a wet spot on her muzzle. "Aradis, wake up..." As if on cue, her eyes fluttered open, and he only watched as she stepped out of the bushes.
((Braindead there.. xD))

Griffen's eyes were murderous as Aradis stepped in front of him. Snarling in rage, he shoved around her and pelted into the flames, swearing at her all the way. "You're supposed to be helping me save her!" As soon as he was in, there was a part of him that was screaming to run the hell back out. The fire raged at his paws and soot stung maddeningly at his eyes. Every inch of his being was crying out in agony as copper tongues licked his body. For a moment, he was frozen in place with the sharpness of the pain. No, I have to keep moving, or I'll never get out and I'll never get Kaylee! His pelt was already stained black with the floating ash and hot cinders, but he pressed on though the scintillating sparks. There. She was nothing but a black bundle, know, her body contorted into a tight ball in a feeble effort to protect herself from the shock of the pain. He rushed to her side and through her over his shoulders, flames hissing at him as he turned and ran forward through a gap in the fire. Please be okay, please be all right, you have to make it, you have to! Finally, at long last, he tossed Kaylee's limp body forward out of the pyre and tore through the last burning sheath. He threw himself to the ground and rolled instinctively. Most of his fur was burned away completely; his underbelly felt oddly naked when the final flames were finally distinguished from his pelt. He was a sodden, dead creature, with every atom that made up his body throbbing in impossible torture. But that was nothing compared to how he felt when he saw his sister's blinking up at the alphess. Meeting her alpha's eyes for the last time, Kaylee whimpered, "Save them." Griffen dragged himself to her side, but he was too late. She was already gone. He pressed a paw against the side of her cheek and was suddenly seized by a fresh bout of horror. Turning her face to the other side, his stomach flipped at what he saw. Carved into her cheek was a bloody red "R". Griffen reteched in the grass beside her dead body.
Overhead, Robespierre watched as his sacrifice burned with that contented smile quite at home on his muzzle. They will learn, dearest, don't you worry. You did not die in vain.

"What the hell-" She spun around to face the one who was to blame for Kaylee's death, eyes seeming to burn with the fire, "Why have you-" She stopped herself short, letting her ears drop and her tail stop lashing. Aradis seemed to run out of a breath, as if she just ran across the whole globe. "Yo-You better have good reason for this. If not I'll gladly kill you right here..." She glared up at the male, tears streaming down her face, praying in her head that whatever his plan had been, it came with one hell of a good cause.
___________________
Gossip trotted out of the bushes, coming to stand next to Aradis, his face holding a thousand sorrows. He glanced to the alphess, then back to Robespierre, unable to keep himself steady on his paws. Using up the last of his strength, he rose his head to the sky, letting out a howl that rose above the crackle of flames. "We have only murdered ourselves, we're the victims in the fire, please, stop the madness!" His howl quieted to the point it was only heard by the wolves around him, before it sputtered and he fell into a fit of coughing.

Roman, padding through the fray, white pelt smeared in crimson blood, watched Robespierre's little ceremony with mild interest and a sadistic glint in his gaze. He's always been crazy, but that's certainly an effective way of getting rid of them. Looking around for a foe, his eyes caught sight of Polychrome launching herself into the battle from the sidelines. Eyes narrowed with delight, the Blood Mist took off after her. Prowling behind her, Roman crouched low and prepared to spring. A moment later, he surged towards her with claws outstretched.
Griffen, still crying over Kaylee's charred form, glared hatefully up at Robespierre. At Aradis' response, he hissed in fury, "A good excuse? There is no fucking excuse, she wasn't even a warrior yet!" Determinedly, he locked eyes with Robespierre, who stared at both Siverians with nothing but contempt. I'll kill him, Griffen decided. He slowly rose to his paws, sauntering towards the hateful demon that had murdered Kaylee.
Robespierre stared calmly down at the wolves. The younger one, insolent, brainless, baffoon, was screeching his ignorance to the stars. Sighing under his breath, Robespierre conjured all of the patience in his heart and addressed the alpha. "There is a lesson to be learned here, and it is wise if you were to consider and learn before you proceed. That was my intent."

Aradis let her ears pin back, eyes narrowing with hatred. She didn't respond, but instead stood up, standing in front of Griffen. "You speak out of grief, step down before I make you." She turned to Robespierre, unknowing what to do.
Turning slowly away and looking at the battlefield below her, Aradis followed after Gossip's howl, this time hoping everyone would hear. "Stop this! Where is your sanity?! Where is the reason behind this! I demand a reason!" And only one is to frame for murder, not a whole pack.
________________
Gossip, lost in mixed thoughts hardly heard a thing as Aradis howl, but without him knowing, he followed her lead. Raising his head to the sky, he managed to let another howl escape his muzzle. "Why are we enemies? Why are we doing this? What happened so long ago to cause this?[/i]

((Umm Painteh, you just power played Jolon. XD Sorry for not replying guys, but I had a bunch of hw and have been having theatre rehearsals))
Jolon's ears went up when he saw pain surge through Arachna's body just before she kicked him in the chest. She screamed at them just before Aradis lunged again. It was all big talk, but it had some truth in it that hit home. She was crazy! He felt welts upon his breast, but he prepared to dive under Arachna's form and bite her stomach out.
Before he could madness erupted and he could not tell exactly what was going on. When Arachna broke through the fire prison, he noticed another wolf appear. He listened to the male as the adrenaline fell out of his system. Soon, he had his hind leg tenderly carried and all his weight on the other side. Every breathe he made he could feel pain with. At Gossip's words, he knew what they meant and he had to agree. Another wolf came into his vision and he had to bristle. Teeth showed, but nothing came up from his throat.
Aradis howled agreement with Gossip and he carried on. Their question was one for the bards. He gingerly stepped towards Aradis. "We are enemies because Blood Mist makes us to be. History repeats itself and corruption runs through the packs. They are only striking for land they want that our existence has driven from them. They fight for fallen friends and comrades, fear, and insecurity. We fight for the same reasons, but a mere howl will not stop the madness, new alpha. It is a lost voice among many," he said. His eyes glinted as he said alpha and a growl erupted from him at the end of his speech.
Kasparr, Autumn, and he had come to help the Destinians if their alpha would not, but he knew Blood Mist had wrested many a life from the Yozoran pack, especially his friends' family.

Running from ashes of fire, Polychrome urged herself to run faster. Leaping across fallen branches and previous black debree, she silently stooped and kept a keep eye. Heaving her chest up and down, she breathed deeply gazing at the setting she was in. Beginning again, Polychrome ran faster to another of Blood mists warriors. Running down a steep hill, she saw a blanket of useless debree lay ed across a few deceased wolves. Gasping, Polychrome dodged down, trying not to trample the bodies. Sniffing a motionless body, she coughed in a stomach curling way. Not has she ever been so close to a corpse before, but it felt reverend to understand the laws of nature. Placing a paw over the deceased body, she bowed her head and whinnied. "Whats this, a female?" Polychrome spun around, seeing a large blackened male. Seemed to be black of ash, but Polychrome wasn't sure. He seemed alone, but possessing more stamina than Polychrome. "What are you doing here, you want to die?" He paced around. Polychrome,e stood motionless, staring strait at him dully. The wolf growled. "Take a bow, you dirt." he leaped across and tried to smite her, but Polychrome ran under and swift like the wind, jumped on top of him. (Ohno, I am doing to routine again, the same one that got be injured) she thought. Letting go of his thick neck, she fell to the slush of the ground, splashing it all around her. Getting up quickly, she stood her place. "I am right here, Ill take what you offer me. But please be quick." This angered the Blood mist warrior, who blindly ran to her, and savagely got a hold of her neck. Gasping for air, Polychrome fell back wards and whelped. Blood gushed from her jaw, smearing the ground below her, but like lightning, she kicked him with her back leg. jumping up, she ran away. Come back here! I am not done with you!" The mad wolf ran after her, little did he know... Polychrome ran into the woods, jumping over logs and rotten bark matted on the forest floor. Seeing the ditch flooded with sharp stones she saw earlier, she stopped in front of it. The Blood mist caught up to her, grinning savagely ready for his kill of the day. (Wait for him, wait...) dashing across the ground, she sped to her left, falling against a tree. A crunch rang from the ditch. Polychrome, feeling deeply horrified, yet honored. Waking over, she saw the flooding of blood and the body, limberly laying across the sharp stones. She hated to see death, even hearing of when her father died. But it was had to be done, he wasn't going to leave her alone. Her life was her own, not his. Smelling the air, she knelt her head, and whined. Picking it back up, her ears erect, she heard howling above. Running through the woods, she never looked back. Attachments:
