Hell was ablaze on the horizon. Plumes of crimson feathered the sky with blood and splattered the underbelly of the oncoming storm clouds. The mass of the storm iteself seemed to be nothing by a crimson clot in the mass of gore that littered the heavens. Below, the grasses were a morose, pallid gray. Soon, this blank, wind-ruffled canvas would be painted. It seemed that not a creature stirred here as the shadow of the storm approached. But, in truth, it was whispering with life. Poised atop the Golden Rise, behind mighty stones, statuesque shapes stood in waiting. Furhter away, amongst the towering forest arbors, wolves teemed among the underbrush. Keyed up, they shifted restlessly in their hiding places. At the heart of this force, a russet-red she-wolf looked on with eager eyes. Come to me, Fireflight. Let me taste your blood.
Hatred pulsated inside of her veins; she felt the awful throbbing over every inch of her body. It took every inch of strength in her body to remaind paused here, amongst the line of trees. Behind the copper alphess was a mass of Destinian warriors, each wearing a mask of pure determination. They were powered by the knowledge that Blood Mist had already killed one of their packmates tonight. But they didn't know what Fireflight did just yet. A clap thunder and slice of lightning split the sky. Stepping forward, leading her warriors behind her, Fireflight charged the Blood Mist line. Her shrieking battle cry sang into the sky. "DESTINIANS! ATTACK!"

Link howled an angry battle cry as he followed his alpha onto what was going to be vengeance for his mate. He charged at the other side filled with rage and anger. First they corrupt my daughter, and then they take my love from me. I will BRING THEM DOWN! He lowered his head and flattened his ears. He was no longer himself. He was going to rip apart every wolf that was of blood mist. He just hopped it didn’t mean his packs death. They were outnumbered so far.
Kestra Charged in level headed and calculating. Her paws carrying her into battle with the other wolves she found to be family, these wolves had wrong her pack one too many times. She would fight for her alpha’s cause. Now she shall be what warrior means. Protector of the pack.
Whisper gathered her herbs into the bag she had created for healing on the battle field. She was not too far behind her pack but she was gathering more herbs as she hoped they would hold on. She hurried to the battle field hoping they would not tell her to go back. She was just a neophyte but the only healer for her pack. She was going to help them no matter what.

She saw her. The crazed whore of Babylon was in her line of vision, and Fireflight was ripping through the grass like a firestorm. In all of her years of boasting of her running talents, the alpha had never run faster in all of her life. She'd never been so eager for the fight and bloodlust, never so vengeful as now. She'd never had any reason to be before today. Fireflight sent Carolina away to find help, banished the traitor, and took Milly's body to rest in the healer den. There would be time to bury the deceased warrior later, after the battle. Things were moving to quickly now to spare her the time and proper rites she deserved. She'd gathered the pack, sent them ahead to the battlefield that lie at the end of the blood trail in the grass. But she wasn't just an alpha, leading her troops into battle. She was a mother, and she had to be sure they would be safe while Mama was away. Akenaten and Hatshepsut had cried miserably. "Darlings, where are Isis and Cleo?" Her heart had raced like flame across a flood of gasoline. "Mama, they're gone! The shadow-wolves took them!" And the bitch had the audactiy to stroll calmly in the midsts of the retaliating Blood Mist Charge, grinning from ear to ear. Laughing, Assyria threw her head back and shrieked. "BLOOD MIST, ATTACK!" She launched herself at her adversary, claws outstretched, thirsting for her due right to flesh and blood-- SLAM. Mighty boulders rolled down the slopes of the Golden Rise, smashing the front lines of the Destinian Charge. Fireflight's copper body crumpled beneath the stone and lie motionless at the heart of the battlefield. Chuckling to herself, Assyria spat upon the alphess' limp form and ripped her claws across Fireflight's flanks. Great lines of blood erupted from the slashes. She paused and bent close to the alpha's ear, though she knew Fireflight would be losing a life and unable to hear her. "Let's see who's the real immortal here."
Behind enemy lines, Cora rested in a secluded forest cave near the battle site. Piles of herbs around her, she prepared to wait out the battle in the makeshift den. For a while, all she could do is listen to the shrieking a little ways away. The casualties would come, but until then, there was nothing to do but listen as the Destinians met their demise.
Arachna, Bloodsbane, Paris, Snare, Enferian, and Nepthys surged forward on the Blood Mist side of the battle.

As lightning bolt after lightning bolt lit up the world, screeches and yowls were heard, making her ears flinch back in fear. Good god what's happening?! Aradis looked over the hill that concealed her and her packmates, seeing a horrible scene in front of her. The blood mist wolves were charging into Destinian lines, rocks rolling down and striking the wolves below. A low growl escaped as thunder crackled, staring where the battle was. Attack from their blind side, their only exposed weakness. Her mothers words rang through her head as she tore her gaze from the scene, standing and padding to her pack.
"We'll use the cover of the storm, they won't hear us and will have a hard time seeing us with this lightning, remember, target their weaknesses!" She looked over the pack, a small group but, if she thought correctly, the power of many. Aradis turned back, crawling on her stomach to the top of the incline. As she stood, lightning flashed and seemed to stay in the air for a good 10 seconds, followed by it's partner in crime. "ATTACK!" She hardly got the cry out as the thunder roared above her, threatening to shake the earth off it's orbit.

Mahina stumbled and charged forward as she heard her alpha's battle cry, her paws hardly able to stay underfoot. She ran pitifully for a few seconds, before falling in strides alongside her pack mates, teeth bared and ready to sink into blood mist flesh. She ignored the crackle of thunder overhead as she extended her strides, eyes locking on the nearest enemy. It seemed hours passed by, and maybe that was true. I'll let this battle come to me.. She would not aim at one, but prepare for one's attack.

Banana swished his tail from side to side as he trotted behind the main bulk of the Destinian forces. I wonder where all my friends are? They're probably having a party or something! He frowned as he watched the wolves and the sky ahead of him. I haven't seen them for a while though... And the sky looks scary...
He settled into a defensive posture. I'll show that lightning who's boss! I'm not afraid of you! His little internal music box continued playing happy tunes. ---
"And this, this is where we are, huh?" Shaw watched his alpha charge into battle. "Well, let's see if I live to fight another day."
He readied himself, then charged at the first wolf he saw. First enemy wolf, that was. Otherwise he would have charged at himself.
Unfortunately, he missed. Then he got tangled up in the chaos. EDITEDITEDIT ---
For the past and for the ills that our ancestors have caused upon each other, we die for their sins... Ene paced towards the battle, subconsciously holding back. I am not much use on the battlefield. However, if I get into battle, the thunder may provide me with a distinct advantage. I must remain aware of the thunder, and never let it catch me by surprise...
She settled for a defensive posture, growling at the Destinians. Let them come at me. ---
Patch roared and entered the fray, slashing madly with his claws. Hopefully he wouldn't hit his own packmates.
His mind registered amusement as rocks fell and Destinian wolves died. Well, injured, probably, but still, the reference to the idiom still stood.

Fireflight was dying. She stood in a crystal chamber swathed in royal blue mists. Around her, her mother, father, and sister watched with anxious eyes. Fireflight blinked up at them from her place on the cavern floor, a dull throbbing pain in her back. "You've lost a life, dearest," her mother, Priya, whispered. "Your spine was broken by the rock," her father, Quigly, murmured. Her sister, Dream, padded over to her and bent down to touch her nose to Fireflight's. "You can do this, sis. They took my nieces. They're all going to hell when you get back in there. Now go -- go and show them not to mess with this family!" Suddenly, air flooded her lungs. Her eyes shot wide open as a blinding flash of lightning flickered in the bruised heavens. Her eyes darted around the fray, and then she saw her. A few feet away, yowling with laughter, was Satan herself. Assyria. Fireflight slowly rose to her paws. The other fae ceased her cackle and turned to look at her with mocking eyes. Just as she opened her mouth to tease, Fireflight surged forward and bowled the other femme clean off her feet. Before Assyria could recover, she was slashing mercilessly at the fae's exposed underbelly. Shrieking in agony, Assyria kicked back at Fireflight with her hindlegs. The powerful blow knocked the Destinian alpha out of her position of advantage, but she maintained her balance and dropped into an immediate crouch. As they began to circle each other, hatred flamed in their eyes. "You're going to die today, Fireflight," the femme screeched. Fireflight sneered. "After you, then!" The two she-wolves lunged at each other and became a whirling tangle of fangs and claws.
Griffen and Kaylee hurried into formation with the other Siverians. Their tactics were hastily thrown together, but it was a decent plan nevertheless. The Blood Mists had had an upper hand at the start with the rocks, but the approach from the backside of the charging line would be a good way to get back at them. Griffen caught sight of Whisper, the Destinian healer neophyte, out of the corner of his eye. Dashing over to her, he dropped Annelise's bundle of herbs at her feet. "Annelise sends her luck -- she couldn't come because she hasn't fully recovered from her time as a captive, but she wanted you to have extra herbs on hand." Before he could hear the she-wolf's response, he pelted back to the other Siverians, who were preparing to charge into the battle. Kaylee and Griffen exchanged a glance before they tore off into the fight. It was a look of understanding; a look that said the words neither of them could say. If we die here today, we'll die bravely. At Aradis' howl, the siblings charged into battle.
Griffen lunged at a random Blood Mist foe, hoping Aradis' plan work and his attack would be unexpected. His target happened to be Gossip.
Kaylee, pelting into the fray, launched herself at Patch and slashed with her claws for any scrap of flesh.
Now, where the hell did THEY come from? The lithe, midnight warrior stopped in her tracks and stared dumbfounded at the Siverian charge as they came up on the flanks of the Blood Mist formation. Snarling furiously, Arachna sprinted to meet the leader of the charge and launched herself at Aradis with a furious snarl. Not so fast, honey, where the hell did you think you were going?

Aradis watched for a second as the pack charged, hoping in her head that her plan would work. Blood Mist was too caught up to notice them. Right? In moments after her howl, she sprinted down the incline, paws tearing up blades of grass and kicking them behind her, in a flurry of fur and yellow. Without knowing what happened, she felt a large impact on her side, as she rolled a few times in the dirt, coming to a stop on her side in the dust.
Her gaze shot up to meet her attacker's, returning the snarl. Not willing to risk getting pinned, she rolled to her other side, scrambling her paws so she could stand, and soon, with the task done, standing in front of the enemy. "That wasn't very nice." She lunged herself at the black female, trying to latch her jaws on any vital part as lightning blocked her vision
(( I didn't know if you had pinned Ara or not, so I went with that you didn't xD ))

Gossip stumbled and fell on his haunches as paws collided with his side, a snarl erupting as he glared at the Siverian. "Where the hell-" He cut himself off as he stumbled clumsily to his paws, a slight cut from a rock on his paw. "Well damn.." He dared to glance at the Siverian wolves, hatred filling his eyes. "You won't win so easily." He tore his gaze away, lunging at Griffen, hoping to get where he aimed.

(( I left it up to you, otherwise it may have bordered on powerplay ^^ ))
Fireflight and Assyria battled on at the heart of the battle. Each landed and dodged with skill that was matched almost perfectly. Blood streaked in both of their pelts -- some of their own, some of each other's. Fireflight was scarcely aware of the Siverian arrival as she was locked in the heat of her own personal battle. Between hisses and snarls, Fireflight made a demand. "Where are my daughters?" Assyria chuckled gruffly. "In a better place than they were before!" Fireflight shrieked and threw herself at the Blood Mist femme once more.
Without explanation, a smile erupted on Griffen's lips as he saw the surprise and rage on the Blood Mist's face. That's what you get for being an incurable pain in the ass! Griffen dodged the wolf's counterattack, but only narrowly; sharp claws grazed his shoulder. They left small scratched that bled only slowly, but the pain seared through him with sharpness. Whirling to face his opponent once more, he feinted once in each direction and then leaped forward at Gossip with claws outstretched. They may have numbers, but we could really turn this thing around.
The sleek black femme, pelt dusted with a spray of crimson, bared her fangs in a wicked twist of a smile. "Wake up, honey, we're at war -- all's fair!" As Aradis sprang at her, the she-wolf sprang as well. The impact of the collision sent her bones rattling and she hurtled towards the ground, but she managed to come to a stand rather quickly. Winded, but wily with determination, the she-wolf dropped into a defensive crouch and began to circle the other femme. "You didn't have to involve yourself, Siverian. It's your own damn fault."

Gossip snarled as his blow hardly got his opponent, hardly a scratch on the male. A yelp escaped his muzzle as he was bowled over, landing chin first in the dust. He lay there, dazed and out of breath, his shoulder bleeding with a few scratches. When you see my face. I hope it gives you hell. Without thinking, he snapped his head at Griffen, a snarl on his face. Whirling around to stumble onto his paws, he glared at the male. "Nice moves, but let's see how this plays out." Gossip darted forward, and with one swift move leaped to the side, coming up behind the male. With paws outstretched, he made his final attempt to bring someone down with him.
____________
"Fine, but don't blame me when your laying in your own puddle of blood!" Aradis snarled as she stared at the blood mist warrior. She knew the stakes were evenly matched at this point, but she had an advantage her enemy did not. She gave no hint of her plan, but instead kept her eyes locked on every movement Arachna made, until finally, she saw her chance. The second the black femmora was in front of her, she sprang forward, dodging right past the wolf with a swift bound.
Aradis, unknowing of what her plans really were sprinted into the nearest undergrowth, with the speed that made her look like a cheetah in the blinding lightning. She quickly dodged into a thorn bush, wincing slightly as they pricked at her pelt. She stilled the shaking branches with her paws, as her pelt melted into the autumn colors of the leafy bush. Let's end this here. Her eyes darted around, searching for the female she knew would follow.

Griffen snarled back at the Blood Mist as he growled in his face. He was enjoying himself immensely. This'll be a peace of cake! He felt like part of a liberation party, coming in the the Siverians to turn the battle in the favor of the packs. But his high mood was dashed when the wolf was suddenly behind him. Long cuts began to bleed from his side where claws scored him. He stumbled, momentarily losing his balance. Bucking his hindlegs, he hope to disentangle himself from his attacker. He grunted and growled with the effort. I guess it won't be that easy after all...
Arachna, with her cat-like yellow eyes locked onto Aradis' every move, was not one to be underestimated. At first, she braced herself in a defensive crouch as Aradis dashed about. When she disappeared into the bursh, Arachna frowned, and then slowly straightened. When Aradis did not reappear, she began to giggle uncontrollably. "Really, little alpha? This is how you drown me in a puddle of my own blood, by running away and hiding like a child? My, my, what must your pack think of your brilliant leadership now? And for the record, little one, if you did see fit to actually carry out your threat, I would pop right back up like a daisy. It's a little thing called immortality, which you, darling, do not have." Slowly, the dark warrior prowled towards the brush, though she was still a reasonable distance away. "Come out, come out, wherever you are!"

Aradis stared as the female searched the bushes. Blinded by the light, or the fact your already dead? She waited, just a second until Arachna was in sight of her bush, her black pelt standing out clear as day through the branches. A few moments passed, and Aradis willed another lightning bolt to strike the earth. Her prayer was answered, and the second the doubled bolt split through the sky, she leaped, pretty sure she had the female under her paws.
As she lunged, the thunder crackled, a ring in her ears as she was deaf for a few seconds. Everything seemed to slow down, making her aim more accurate than she could. Of course, time can't freeze, but maybe, this would work. "Have you forgotten your own reality!?"

Gossip, still balanced on hind paws and unslowing with his movements, managed to twist his aching body to lunge at his enemy's shoulder, hoping to succeed his aim. He closed his eyes, not knowing if he had succeeded, but instead, awaiting what he knew would come next, as his strength drained and his paws failed under him.

Jolon charged into the area as fast as he could. The cry for battle and the storm had broken. His pelt was wet, not from rain, but from his sweat. He had told Kasparr and Autumn everything he had heard. Firelight was leading her pack into battle against Blood Mist without Yozoran help. No sense of ally-ship was to be seen in Bain at the moment. The Yozoran alpha was in no mind set to make the decisions for his pack. What the leader truly wanted done, fueled his anger as he raced through the forest. Hopefully, Kasparr and Autumn had kept up.
Soon, he smelt the blood trail, but thankfully no Hellfirian fire. This was between Blood Mist and the packs, especially Destinian. His ears caught the sound of another cry of attack. He'd never heard the battle cry before. The smell around the territory he was racing into told him everything he needed to know. It was the Sivarians! Firelight had gotten hold of another pack to help them! Suddenly, he felt better about this battle, but not by much. From the different smells he was getting, Blood Mist had grown since the last fight.
The Yozoran male charged past bushes and finally saw the battle. It was hard to tell exactly what was happening. Hopefully, Kasparr and Autumn would remember not to tell anyone about Bain's plan until the upcoming meeting that approached or unless they saw it fit after the battle. It wouldn't do to cause distraction through rumors that might spread.
He looked back and then turned towards the rocks. Lifting up his muzzle, let out a battle howl, one used for Yozoran's. Quickly, he launched himself forward and saw Firelight. Firelight wouldn't like it if he interfered, so he ran towards Arachna with burning eyes. He had no idea the Siverian leader was fighting the Blood Mist warrior. Jolon slammed into the female with all the force he could muster.

Racing at Jolon's heels were Autumn and Kasparr, each with a determined light in their eyes. They no longer carried the pack scent of their kin, the Yozorans, but regardless, they were part of the war that was raging at the Golden Rise. So many of their family had fallen prey to Blood Mist, that out of honor, they couldn't let them go on without a fight. This is for Mom and Dad, Autumn vowed. And Neveria.
At the scene of the battle, all was chaos. Kasparr's heartbeat raced as his eyes scanned the clearing. Fireflight and Assyria were drenched in blood at the heart of the clearing, battling each other with all the fire of Hell itself. Towards the western edge, the Siverians had compressed the Blood Mist brigade by what looked to be a side approach. Good, at least they go someone to help them. Briefly, he wondered about the Sheerans, and the shook himself and started foward.
Wordlessly, Kasparr and Autumn stormed into battle.
"Ahahhahahahaha -- OOF!"Arachna's laughter was cut unexpectedly short as a wolf hurtled into her side. She fell to the ground, breath forced from her chest, and gasped for air. Slowly, she scooted backwards over the ground and came to a shaky stand. Snarling, she spat furiously at the Yozoran. Shell-shocked, she remained unaware of the Siverian alpha's spring from the brush -- Jolon's impact had slammed her out of range of the femme's lunge. "And who the hell are you? Did we kill all of the Yozorans all ready? You must be the very last one -- you're the only one here!"
From her vantage point at the rims of the fighting, Cora's eyes suddenly widened. Gossip was tiring fast, and she would have to intervene quickly or risk the Siverian going to far and taking his life. He would reincarnate, she assured herself. Remembering what Gossip had said about not believing in such things, the healer neophyte made up her mind and sprang into to intervene.
Griffen hissed as a great gash was opened in his shoulder. Just as he was about to slash at Gossip's face in a counterattck, the silver-white form of Cora collided into his side. "Gossip, you're taking a break," the healer grunted gruffly. "And that would be my professional medical opinion, so no arguing!" She took a few defensive swipes at Griffen as he gathered his bearings and lunged at her.

Aurora steps into the battle from the loner territories, which was where she lives now. Being exiled and cursed with words that she wished she didn't been the one to be insulted like that. Though there was nothing to regret, it wasn't her fault that her bother accused her of killing her mother, Milly. Ruka pretty much disowned her so he was no brother anymore. Unknown if her father still likes her as a daughter. Wouldn't bother trying, if she did, he might abuse her for the death of her mother, Link's mate.
The bitch, according to Ruka at least, was on no sides, but would probably be attacked by her past pack, thinking that she was here to be on Blood Mist's side. Aurora was not on their side, Ignorance was. She isn't Ignorance. That's the only thing she believes now, not just believe, know. It's what keeps her alive at the moment. She jumped after Assyria while Fireflight was fighting her. It didn't matter, they think of Aurora as dead anyways.

What the hell? Assyria staggered as a body slammed into her side unexpectedly. Somehow, she managed to retain her footing. Spitting out blood, Assyria turned on Aurora and snarled coldly. "What's this, Fireflight, one of your little pets?" It took Fireflight a moment to realize who the other wolf was, she was so lost in her carnal frenzy. She said nothing to Aurora, or Ignorance, or whoever she was, but continued circling her enemy without even acknowledging she was there. Right now, the sense of justice in the alpha was completely lost in bloodlust. Right now, the only fairness she planned on serving was giving that bitch from hell the agony she deserved; the truth about Aurora and Milly had yet to register in her mind. All there was in Fireflight's world was Assyria and herself. And Assyria was going to die. The alphess sprang onto the Blood Mist's back and dug her claws into the she-wolf's shoulders. She struck at her spinal chord with the speed of a cobra, fangs sinking just short of the vertebrae. Howling in agony, Assyria tossed herself backwards to dismantle Fireflight and ripped herself away from the Destinian's grasp. Assyria turned her back on Aurora, ignoring tender, throbbing bruises that she'd left blossoming over her skin, and recommenced her battle with the Destinian alphess.
