PACK ASSEMBLY!

The silvery alphess padded on light, rough paws into the main clearing of the camp. A deep, rumbling cough racked her body, but she carried on anyway, even when crimson droplets stained her maw. She had to address the pack. She knew they were afraid;; the sickness had become an empidemic for the entire forest, and herbs had done very little. She hoped that the Healer Meeting would bring insight and shed light on this black illness. Twilight knew they would need some in these dark times...

She stood upon the gathering stone, letting out a short bark for her pack to meet. There were things that needed to be done if they were to stay healthy and still maintain regular duties.

Bree trotted up. Her dark fur glistening and parcially blood-stained from her deep, rumbling cough.

Reason looked terrbile. She was skinny and hardly ate. Her fur was thin and she was yet young. It had only gone down hill when Rhyme died.

Akaira shuffled slowly out of the resting dens. Coughing every few steps the young wolf made her way to were Mist stood. Halting a good few feet from the alphess. The silvery,greyish,blueish ebonu fae sat down , coughing again.

Aimi padded up and sat down. She watched as her coughing brother followed her. "Hey. Are you alright?"

Akane nodded and cleared his throat. "See? When I clear my throat, the coughing stops for a little. Nothing to be worried about. No blood."

Kakashi sat down and groomed his left paw. Although it seemed like he wasn't paying attention, his ears were pricked and listening. He wasn't worried much about the coughing, but he was still very curious.

Flower want back to the nursery with the pups and just hear about the meeting. Lilly Pad was tired and coughing. So is Fang and started to sleep next to Mythic.

Mist opened her mouth to address her pack, but the overpowering stench of disease cut her short. Her eyes flickered over to the medicine den, two wolven figures speaking in whispers. Ember emerged, grasping the scruff of a light gray wolf. Polena held the rear, helping Ember carry the wolf. They laid the fallen beta in the clearing, silence greeting their movements.
Riku was dead.

Mythic saw her father and sprinted over, "DADDY!!!!!!" she howled and tackled him. She felt tears swell in her eyes and she looked into his lifeless eyes. Her father had died.

Akaira turned her crown to see Riku's body. She didn't know the brute well. But he had been the beta of the Sheerans. Now , it seemed, one more had fallen to the dreaded sickness.

The anerexic Reason looked to Mythic. She knew what it was like to lose somebody so close. She slowly stumbled over, not wanting to give Mythic a worse case of the desise and said, "Mythic go to your mother,"

Mythic bit her hard. She lashed and and curled up closer to her father's body. The cold stoney body of the silver beta.

Aimi flattened her ears at Riku's dead body. "Oh... Another one has died. How many more wolves are we going to lose?"

Akane held a cough. Scared that each cough he took might bring him closer to death. He was scared to even breathe the disease scented air.

Julian gave a small cough and curled up into a ball. A larger cough follow and he cringed with fear. His blank expression signaled another vision. Two pups, identical to him coughing and hacking blood he shivered and pushed the vision away.

Anelie's eyes were closed, she was sleeping. What she saw was one black pup identical to her, and three silver pups identical to her brother who in turn she didn't know was her brother. They all were playing when all of a sudden it start to rain rather heavily. Each pup fell to the ground coughing and hacking up blood, then they all lie limp and silent. In a split second a flash of a red light awoke her and she lept to her feet trembling and yelping.

Mist looked from Ember to Polena to Riku, stunned. "How....how did it happen?" She woofed eventually, voice scarcely audible.

Ember looked up at Mist gravely. "Sickness. It literally closed off his throat.." She rasped, eyes watering. She'd known Riku since he was a pup; she'd watched him grow up and become beta, just as his father had. It pained her greatly to see him fall prey to the dark predator that was this disease.

Anelie raced out of the nursery clumsily and raced straight into Riku. Her eyes locked into his lifeless eyes and she backed up in horror and fell backwards. Her fur ebony fur bristled and her vision flashed before her eyes. She gasped and dropped to the ground twitching dangerously.

Akane felt his whole body quake. He had this sickness, too, and now... Seeing what it could do. Calm down. Your not bleeding yet. If you stay calm for now, breathing will be better. It's nothing, you're just shaken up.

Closed off his throat? Kakashi placed a paw on his throat. That's frightening.

Mist shook her head, finally regaining her composure. "We will hold a vigil for Riku after a few announcements..." She paused, swallowing bile down her coarse throat. "We have witnessed what this disease do. We have a plan, and we WILL find a way through this, so there is absolutely no reason to panic, to stop fighting, or to give up. We have witnessed many a tragedy, and we have seen terribel things. There may be death ahead, and there may be darkness, but not even the darkness can last forever. Wolves of the Sheeran pack, we will fight this!" She howled, tears still shimmering in her crystal clear eyes.
