Kojo snarled low, trying to fight back against Fate's darkening presance. The brute padded to Serra and touched his muzzle against hers. This was his last chance. Kojo closed his eyes and focused. His memories rushed toward Serra. Darkness. Cold. Alone. Hated. Killing. Don't let that be you he thought frantically. Newer memories flashed forward, him and Faith running beside Nuka and Dust, Kojo meeting Faith then later approaching her heavy with shame for killing again. His thoughts as the humans hunted him, remembering his promise to Faith, his restrain not to kill the hounds and human, telling Faith to keep living. Fate's darkness was strong but this was all Kojo could offer Serra, the choice between dark and light.

Seera's pelt tingled with the emotions and memories Kojo sent to her. Some which she knew. WHich she had endured. WHich she had felt already. At her young age. Other's which she did'nt want to feel. Running with Faith, she felt his love for her. Would she ever love a wolf like he loved Faith? This time she did'nt close her eyes. Just watched Kojo. Felt the darkness. Pushed it away. Pushed Fate away. Pushed the darkness away. She wanted the light. She wanted what Kojo could help her acheive. Not the dark, ominous path to Hellfire which Fate would guide her too. She wanted to, finally, be guided by her father. It wasn't too late to change. it wasn't too late to reah out for guidance.

Kojo felt Serra resisting and he smiled softly. "That's my girl" Kojo murmured softly, a smile on his maw and golden eyes smoldering with pride. The golden-red brute could feel Fate still trying to resist, trying to make her way to Serra. Kojo took a step back from Serra and raised his head high, like an alpha addressing his pack. "Fate! Your darkness is turned away here, back to hellfire with you!" Kojo turned his muzzle skyward, an unearthly howl rising from his skinny form, ringing through the forest. If Fate dared to stay, she would know Kojo would find her and fight her. The howl was challenging, commanding, the howl of a younger wolf, one that had fought and won a battle.

Seera did'nt feel Fate leave. If anything her presence grew stronger.Though now, it was less directed on her and more on Kojo.more anger and fury now than a need to control.Fate would fight him if she needed too.Though the fae would most certainly lose at any rate. Seera's pelt did'nt lie flat. Her eyes flared with determination, courage, some rage that was still there. But she was more controlled. A haunting howl of challenge surrounded the clearing.Dark, hateful, vengeful. Fate's call. The idiot femme actually thought she had a chance at challenging Kojo. "To bad dead wolves can't be killed again.Seera muttered.

Kojo strengthened his call and let his howl die. "Come and face me Fate if you believe you can take my kin! The sooner you loose the sooner you can be thrown into hellfire!" Kojo's gaze was strong and determined, flames behind his eyes and his head held high. He felt Fate raging all around him, felt her dark heart and tainted soul but it was what he had planned. Serra was dreaming. She could wake up, escape the dream before it became too dangerous. Kojo stepped forward and touched Serra again. "Wake up" he whispered. "This battle is not for living eyes, wake up my pup, go back to land of the living and hold your head high. Look down to no one but never forget the innocent."

Seera nodded to her father as the brute and the world around her blurred. Then disapeared. His scent still in her nostrils.
Seera awoke with a start. The den had half filled with water while she had been sleeping. It was raining hard outside her. Water was seeping in.Filling it up.She had to get out.Or be trapped and drowned in a fox den she had stolen. The femme struggled to get up.Paws slipping around on the muddy floor. Her form shoved through the water which flooded in.At a faster and faster speed every second.
Fate snarled from the shadows.Gastly, malicious, vengeful eyes gleamed a dark hateful blueish hazel. Giving away her place of chosen hiding. The femme emerged into the clearing.Facing Kojo. She was his size. His equal in many ways. His superior, as she thought in more.

Slender jaws lowered into the fox den and grabbed Serra's scruff, pulling the darker fae from the water. "Serra are you crazy? Sleeping in a fox den is dangerous" Sunblaze barked, pulling her sister out of the muddy den. Her golden-red fur was slicked to her slim form, topaz eyes glowing through the rainy haze and paws turned brown with mud.
Kojo faced Fate, head high and proud. He looked defiant. "You can't win her over Fate. I won't let you take Serra or Sunblaze. They are my daughters and I will protect them, more in my death then ever in my life."

Serra smiled greatfully to Sunblaze. The femme did'nt bother shaking the mud from her fur. It would just get washed out with the rain anyways. Her eyes were not haunted. Not like they had been. One still held a slightly darker note than the other. But not like before. Dark pelt looked blacker than she thought possible in the rain. A lop-sided grin split her face."Well after I ate it I needed a place to rest. How was i supposed to know it would rain?Seera was only half joking. The femme had been starved and her form was not as full as it might have been. The wounds from the fox had dried and red pooled in the water around where she stood. The dried blood had been cleaned from her pelt by the water.
Fate snarled.[/b]"I can try.Sunblaze is a lost cause. That was apparent long ago.But Serra. She hasn't gained hold of herself yet.She has no living shoulder to lean on.No mother or father. No aunts or uncles.her only kin that she knows of is Sunblaze.Sunblaze has Thite.Just how much do you think daughters share anyway Kojo? No.Seera needs someone to love her to succed. She won't get that in the hell she's going to live. Not if I can help it. Ronin might be dead, but he's still insane.COmpletely useless as far as I'm cincerned.Shadow Walker won't be of any help. The fae isn't a dark.Or as dark as she'd like us to beleive she was.No.I'll have to make Serra's life hell until she comes to me myself"fate advanced.Snarling deeply.

Sunblaze shrugged. "Guess you're right. How about we find somewhere else to wait out this rain, I'm freezing." Sunblaze shivered and a few droplets of water flitted from her russet coat. "And soaked through" Sunblaze added. Her fur had been darkened by the rain, turning it an almost ruby shade of amber.
"The only living shoulder she needs for now is her sister" Kojo growled. "Sunblaze suits her name. Her soul is light, she will support Serra. In time Serra will find her soulmate but only when the time is right for her. You may try to harm her but I am the guardian of my daughters and I will guard them."

Fate snarled. Lowering her form she darted in swiftly at Kojo.Dark greyish fangs aimed for his leg. The brute could easily paralyze her.Nothing was permanent in this realm though anyway. But she was too stupid to have realized this. The femme had put herself in the perfect position for such an attack too.Careless really.
Seera nodded.Glancing around. No sign of Thite. He was probably off hunting or something.Who new with him? The brute seemd divided between Sunblaze and Mosca. In the end he had chosen Sunblaze. But part of him had remained with Mosca.Seera shrugged her shoulders. Flicking one soaked aud."The nearest den has Ronin's stale scent on it.I would'nt go within ten feet of it again myself. Not with his stench there."Seera's nose wrinkled in disgust at the thought of the insane brutes scent. She was half unsane herself. But not like he had been.

Sunblaze nodded, a slight frown curling on her maw at the mention of her dead uncle. "Well I think I smelled an old badger sett near the embankment by the river. It's higher up so there won't be any water in it and it's abandoned." Sunblaze smiled at Serra and started off toward the embankment of the Shanti River.
Kojo let Fate strike his leg but snapped his head down. His fangs sank into Fate's back and he clenched his jaw.

Serra nodded.Flicking her head back towards the now flooded fox den first.See you again soon father.I hope. With that the fae turned and dodged after Sunblaze. Mud and water squelching beneath her paws as she went. Deep tracks in the earth from her large paws. The scent of rain was nice.It cleaned the forest. The onlt problem would be if the river over flowed.None the less, there were lots of other places to go.A badger set would be large enough for two, three or even four wolves.Depending on the size of the wolves.
Fate's eyes went wide then turned to slits.Glazing over at the sudden pain she felt. Paralysis. Then she was numb.Dead to everything.Nothing worked. She would have howled in pain. Had her voice worked.Instead she fell over and lay stiffly on the ground.Pools glaring hatefully at Kojo,

Kojo swung his head to one side, tossing Fate away as if she was simply a peice of prey. The red-gold brute turned and walked off into the forest, back to the Realm of Twilight. For now, his work was done but he would keep a close eye on Serra and Sunblaze.
Sunblaze led the way to the river and found the badger sett she'd scented eariler. Padding into the den, Sunblaze curled up near the back. She had been right. It was dryer here then in that flooded fox den, though right now just about anything was dryer then that. Sunblaze put her head on her paws and waited for Serra to join her.

Serra scrambled up the slippery embankment.Paws slipping on the fresh mud and slippery rocks.Eventually her burly form made it too the top.Serra glanced around first. Then entered the den.Shaking her pelt near the entrance. The femme sat near the entrance.Paws folded as she lay down.Head held high her pools gazed off into the rain.Watching it.Thinking perhaps. Both Fate and Kojo's words were still ringing in her mind. She shook them away. She'd made her choice.
Fate saw nothing.Every thing was black. She'd passed out from the fright of paralysis. She'd wake up much later.Fully able to move. But for now she was silent.Laying on the floor of a un-real forest.Alone.

Sunblaze watched her sister for a long while then decided to speak. "Serra....are you ok? You look troubled." Sunblaze rose to her paws and padded a bit closer to Serra though she was careful. Sometimes it was hard to tell with Serra.
A large ivory brute wove through the forest, loping toward Fate. He had deep brown eyes and a muscular build, handsome and noble looking from blood lost long ago. 200 years of being dead had left Roman wise to the ways of fallen wolves even though his own living life remained clouded in mystery. He no longer let it trouble him. Roman sat at the edge of the clearing, watching Fate. "So...is it Hellfire or the Twilight Realm for you youngling?" Roman asked, his deep voice ringing with wisdom from centuries.
