"Of course" Sunblaze murmured, rising and standing at his shoulder. Gently as she could manage, Sunblaze bent her head, gripped his scruff and pulled Thite up until he had his paws under him. He could lean on her as much as he needed. Though she looked delicate and slender, her fine russet fur reflecting fire and honey eyes like liquid topaz, Sunblaze was strong. She could probably bear most of Thite's weight if he could not. "I'll always be here for you to lean on" she murmured, licking his muzzle lovingly.

[Destiny]

Thite grunted at the effort. He thanked the Twilight wolves that Sunblaze was there to help him.A beautiful and distant wolfsong entered his auds. The voice was familier. Calling him. He pulled away from it. Leaned some of his weight on her shoulder. Thankful she was there.Soft pink tounge rasped lovingly over her muzzle in return.The haunting wolfsong still echoing through the land. Beautiful,broken,real, for him. Sung by her for him. Her, his sister, her, he knew her voice. It had changed, but he knew her voice. He didn't go to her though. True, he had spent much of his life searching, searching for her. Not anymore. She was within his grasp. But he needed Sunblaze so much more. He loved Sunblaze like no wolf would ever know. "Thank you."Is all he could manage.

Sunblaze helped Thite up the embankment toward the badger sett. It was hard and slow work, because of Thite's half frozen state. She just hoped Serra wouldn't mind company cause she was gonna get it. The badger sett was the closest shelter that hadn't been flooded by the storm and right now Sunblaze wasn't going to risk having to go scout one out while Thite lay freezing in the rain. Sunblaze saw the sett up ahead. "Serra! Wake up and help me will you?" she called, the mud sucking unpleasantly at her paws as she stook each step.

[Destiny]

Serra was shaked awake by Sunblaze's yelling."What the Hellfire?!?"She cursed and rose. Glancing around then remembered where she was. She noticed Sunblaze fighting her way through the storm. A white wolf at her side.Thite at her side. Serra lept from the den and scrambled through the slippery mud.

Thite was even more greatful when Serra moved up against his other side. Numb paws dragged across the ground. As the two faes helped him to the old badger set ahead. The three of them would fit in their comfortably he would assume. By the size of it.Thite's paws slipped on the mud but he felt Serra's teeth in his neck as she hauled him back to his paws.

Sunblaze looked over at her sister thankfully. She made a mental note to make it up to her for wkaing her, especially since she had spent all night dreaming with Kojo and Fate. Sunblaze knew that was the oppisate of a restful sleep. Together the two got into the sett, guiding Thite. Sunblaze was glad to find it was still very dry here, and warmer since the whipping wind was now shut out. The den would be big enough for them to fit together comfortably. "We'll need to get cobwebs, he's been injured."

[Destiny]

Serra nodded. Glancing back out into the storm."I'll get them. I saw some earlier."Serra paused at the entrance."Do you want some poppy seeds too?"The question was directed at Sunblaze.

"I don't need any poppy seeds.I'm fine.But the cobwebs would be appreciated."Thite murmured as he settled his tired and stiff form down so that he lay on his side. His other side this time. The wound was in a jagged line from the top of his shoulder to the top of his belly. It bled freely and it was barely moments before the crimson outline showed the size of it. One wound, inflicted by one wolf.True,he had a few others.But they were mere scrapes and the bleeding from these had stopped. It was the small brute that had inflicted the only bad wound. The insane one.

Serra only nodded to Thite and disappeared into the storm. Fighting tiredly though it. Helping other wolves would be good for her anyway. Besides, Thite was Sunblaze's love, and Serra knew for not just Thite's but Sunblaze's sake too, she had to help the brute.

Sunblaze laid next to Thite, gently grooming the blood near the wound. She tried to keep from causing him pain though it was inevitable. Sunblaze was fairly sure the wound was pretty clean considering he'd been in the river and in the rain but she couldn't help it. Sunblaze laid against his belly, grooming the wound as best she could. Thite was the only wolf, besdies Serra, that she had left. Kojo, Faith, Fate, Hope and Ronin were all gone, not that she'd ever counted on them. "Who did this?" Sunblaze asked softly.

[Destiny]

Thite had to ponder her question for a moment.Closling his eyes he took in the scene again. "One of them was a femme, middle age, medium sized. She wasn't angry, just hungry.She probably wanted to gnaw on the remnants of my supper. She looked very skinny and ragged."He paused.She'd cursed at him a few times and mentioned her name,what had she said?"I think she called herself Harriet." Thite pictured the second wolf.The one who had come later.The brute.He'd been around five moons old. Muscles already toning and pelt glistening with health. Pools screaming for blood.The brute had shoved Harriet out of the way with a good smack to the head and attacked him.Harriet, had screamed a name."The other wolf was a young brute.Only about five moons.But the bloodlust and venom was clear.His muscles were already toning and his pelt showed that he was very healthy.He inflicted the wound.I hadn't been expecting a second attacker. Hadn't expected such a savage wolf. He wasn't insane,just hungry for meat.He was Ronin, only different."Thite had to ponder his own words. He didn't flinch away at the slight pain that seered through him when Sunblaze cleaned the wound.

Seera slid along the embankment. Darting into the more wooded area.Mud sucking at her paws. There was another scent on the wind. A fae.A haunting wolfsong entered her auds. Serra paused. She felt frozen, paralyzed. The fae's voice was so... mythical. So different.

Sunblaze stopped grooming Thite. Something felt odd. Her paws tingled slightly. "I'll be right back." Rising, Sunblaze turned and padded toward the entrance of the badger sett. Serra had been gone a while. Sunblaze was worried. Whoever had injured Thite the way he was might still be around and try to pick a fight with Serra. While fighting Serra was unwise, she doubted they knew that. Sunblaze turned her muzzle skyward and let out a howl, calling Serra back.

[Destiny]

Serra heard Sunblaze's howl but she didn't move. She was almost entranced. The haunting howl that sang through the land made her spine quiver.Her body tremble. It was so haunted,so lost, so hopeful. So entrancing.So real.Yet, so un-real. She wanted to reply to Serra but the trance had taken her.Instead the femme just stood there. Auds perked. Body still. Heart beating in a normal rythem though.

Thite perked his auds."Sunblaze, go get her.Get her back to this den.But whatever you do, Sunblaze, don't let the music entrance you too." Thite's tone was warning. His sister could sing like no wolf he had ever heard.So beautiful and broken. He remembered this from his pup hood. Only her song had been different then. Oh,so different.

[Ärï]

Sunblaze needed no second prompting. The red-gold femme sprang once more into the storm, running after Serra's fading scent. She heard the song, ringing in her ears. Above that however, she heard another song, a deeper song, a brute though it was not heard by anyone else. Her father her. He was watching, guarding. Sunblaze saw Serra. "Serra!"

Kojo's howl rang for the ears of his daughters alone. He would protect them, both of them. His song battled the enchanting power of Svel though the battle was heard by his daughters alone.

[Destiny]

Svel lowered her crown.Ceasing her enchanting song.This was exactly what she had wanted. Now both the faes were gone.Silently and swiftly Svel flew from her hiding place and into the badger set.She was at her brother's side within mere moments. Soft, caring, beautiful entrancing blue pools took in every inch of his body. Thite had grown much since their puphood. "Thite, brother, dearest brother. I have come to you with news.Mother and father, they are dead. Killed many moons ago , in our old home in fact. We have a sister,Kiari. Our only sister. I raised her when she was younger, but she is more independant now. More with the pack. Svel paused.Allowing all her words to sink in. The femmora's silken pelt was silvery like reflection of the moon on the river. Grey like the clouds on a half way decent day. Shining like the moon.Beautiful and healthy. She was not near the size of Thite. Where he had strength, she had speed,incredible speed. She had out run her own alphess and not been without energy. But she let these thoughts all pass. Her time with her brother would be short. "I cannot stay long. I have to go back to my pack, Destinian Pack, very soon.Before my adoptive mother, and my alphess, Destiny realizes that I have left without seeking permission.But, if I may, I would like to stay a while."

Serra jolted into reality when Sunblaze called her name a second time. The wolfsong was ending, no, ended. Serra turned her slightly dazed eyes on Sunblaze. "That was the strangest howl I have ever heard.Not dark or evil like Ronin's.But so soft and beautiful and broken."Serra shook her head.Clearing it of the wolfsong.

Thite gazed up at his sister."Why did you entrance Serra?You knew I would send Sunblaze to get her.You wanted me alone.Why?" Thite pondered this for a moment as he took his sister in. She had strong muslces but her power lay in entrancing song,her breath taking looks and her speed and agility. Somehow he knew all these things already. "Kiari,a sister. Take good care of her. Gnaw and Bite, our parents, dead then?Not a problem. They were both cruel anyway.Stay for a while?Stay the night if you want.But ask Sunblaze and Serra's permission as well.This den will be crowded then.Thite paused.Locking his own soft blue eyes with Svel's. They had both seen things. Horrible and beautiful. They had both felt pain.Only different kinds.They were both so alike. Only very different.They were blood.

[Ärï]

"I know, it was weird" Sunblaze barked. "Thite sent me to find you. Let's get those cobwebs and head back quickly, I'd rather not run into whatever was howling like that." The very idea made her fur prickle uneasily, as if they were being watched. Sunblaze started hunting around among the soaked undergrowth and soon found what she saught. Harvesting the cobwebs she had found was fairly easy. Sunblaze started back toward the den. If Serra wanted to find more, she could but Sunblaze didn't feel sure about leaving Thite alone.

[Destiny]

Serra followed Sunblaze back to the den.There was a certain uneasiness in the air.She didn't like it, not in the least.

Svel dipped her head in thanks.Glancing around she lept over Thite.Landing on his other side. Silently she lowered herself to the den floor. This was the closest she had ever been to her brother in a very long time. She wanted to remember it.Forever. She rested her crown on his back. Licking the scarlet blood from his pelt.A scent wafted over her."Thite, that scent, I know it. Thite, please tell me you did not kill the brute who did this too you.Please tell me you did not kill Loni.Please tell me you did not kill my alphess son, there fore my non biological brother."Svel's words held a great amount of hope.If Thite had killed Loni.He had murdered her un-biological brother.Destiny's lost son.

Thite quivered as she lay her crown on his back.He'd only ever been this close to another wolf when fighting.Or with Sunblaze. Loni?Yes, that was the brutes name."No, I did not kill him. But I did almost drown because of the damn pup."Thite muttered.Flicking his tail tip in a slight irritation. If the brute was Svel's other brother. Even if not biological, he wouldn't dare hurt him. No, he would'nt hurt him. Because, if he was Svel's brother.He was his brother.

Sunblaze reached the sett first but froze shy of entering it. Another wolf was laying next to Thite. Sunblaze's face didn't change expressions as she slowly entered the den and laid the cobwebs near Thite. "If there's going to be four in here it'll be crowded. Serra can keep you two company." Her voice was normal, almost icy. Sunblaze turned, brushed past Serra and sat on the bank of the Shanti River. Sunblaze wasn't mad so much as she was surprised and uneasy.
