I Hope You Remember (KojoXFaith)

A slight shiver ran down Kojo's spine. He'd heard legends of such a thing but hadn't known it to be true. Kojo had dismissed them as faes simply trying to please two wolves without causing fuss. Now however, it seemed he'd been wrong, that it was possible. Kojo watched Shadow Walker carefully. She was a sly wolf, much like Ronin. It was like looking in a mirror and seeing the brute that had turned Serra into a bitter, confused wolf.

[Destiny]

Faith glared at her mother. "What's wrong , dearest mother. Are you afraid to tell me who my father is? Are you afraid to admit something?Or do you just enjoy keeping secrets from me?Well?"Faith half snarled.

Shadow Walker glared at her daughter for a moment. "You, you had all his qualities. Courageous,brave, loving, un-fearful, forgiving, understanding. You had his size and his pelt. His build and his bottomless eyes. Whenever I saw you, it was like looking in a mirror at him. At the one thing I loved the most. The one thing I had lost because of myself." The femme cursed herself angrily. Now Shadow Walker lay down. So that she could see her daughter and Kojo better. "Your father was a wolf named Holloa. A loner all his years. He was too old for me and we both knew it. We both knew it would never lost. When I was pregnant with you and Rane's pups I was four. Holloa was Ten. He was'nt that old I suppose. But living a life of a loner had made him even older. He died the day before you opened your eyes for the first time." Shadow Walker's pools gleamed with what might have been tears."I had a choice.Save you from the fox. Or save Holloa from falling off a cliff. I chose you. He lost his grip. Slipped, fell, died."

[Ärï]

Kojo glanced between the black femmora and his beloved mate. He said nothing but pressed his fur lovingly against hers, touching his muzzle against her neck. He didn't know if she'd be sad or not but if she was, he would be there to hold her up. Kojo licked Faith's cheek and studied his love's eyes carefully.

[Destiny]

Faith nuzzled her love. Licking him lovingly on the muzzle. Nose touched his."Mother, I thank you. For saving me. For you gave me a chance at life. "Faith paused. Holding Kojo's gaze."And Kojo, you gave me a life worth living."Faith smiled a bit.

Shadow Walker gave Faith a rough lick on the ear before rising again. "Now, if your smart, you won't want to leave back over the way you came."Shadow Walker tilted her head howling loudly.The form's of a large and a smaller, younger brute apeared. Nuka, and his son Dust. Though not Dust, nor anyone else but the mother, knew who Dust's real parents were."Guide them the safe way."Shadow Walker commanded. The ebony femme turned on her heel and dashed off.

[Ärï]

Kojo smiled sadly at Faith. He would never really be at peace with the things he'd done while he was alive. He'd killed and more then once he'd lost control around other wolves. It haunted him. Kojo would never believe he gave Faith anything other then daughters and his heart which didn't seem to be enough considering he thought of it as blackened and whithered, like something that had been burned by the humans. He wouldn't disagree with Faith though he thought she was wrong. "Come on love, let's go" he murmured, rising to his paws and looking over at Dust and Nuka.

[Destiny]

Faith nodded. Brushing her pelt against his before she padded over to greet her kin.Nuka greeted Faith with a slight bow.As did Dust. "Come along then."Nuka barked smiling.Faith only nodded and followed her kin.
Nuka's paws took them across a much more pleasent land. It got nicer as they went as well. The mist quickly dimished in the direction they took replaced by a nice warm feeling. Like you might have got if the sun was warming your pelt. The ground below their paws turned to soft lush grass.

Kojo followed his mate and her kin without question. He'd heard some things about Nuka from a GreyMist wolf he'd met moons ago but had never really shown much interest in pack history since he was a loner his whole free life. Kojo savored the feeling of warmth soaking through his fur as the mist died away, running beside his mate again. Though he felt guilty every waking moment, this somehow made him feel better.

[Destiny]

Faith ran alongside her mate. Her pelt brushing his.While Nuka lead the way ahead of them, Dust dropped back to stand alongside Kojo. The younger brute glanced to Kojo. "Hello there. I'm Dust."He barked in a friendly tone.

Nuka's paws slowed the pace a bit. Allowing the wolves to set in at a more comfortable one. Thoughts of his love wandered into his mind. The wolf he loved most. He had forbidden her to enter the Twilight Realm. But she had not done bad enough things to doom herself to Hellfire.So, now, his beloved, the thing which was the root of his sorrow, was trapped between the Realms. Forever her spirit would wander in the icy cold with no where to go.

[Ärï]

"Hi" Kojo barked, looking over at Dust. "I'm Kojo though knowing other wolves around here, you probably already kne wthat." Kojo glanced around. It was weird, wolves that had been in the Realm seemed to just...know things. Sometimes it was unnerving, sometimes it was cool but sometimes it was just creepy. Kojo glanced at Nuka. He looked like he was deep in thought.

[Destiny]

Dust shook his head." No.I did'nt know."He glanced to Nuka."Nuka, he seems to just know things. As do a lot of the older wolves who have been her a while for some reason.He just told me I was going to meet my kin."Dust paused. His ears drooping. "I failed her sister.I was too weak to pull her into the Twilight Realm. Now. Now I just hope Nuka will be able to get her from it." Dust looked up to the older brute.

Faith trembled as Dust menioned her sister.Pain glimmering in her pools.

[Ärï]

Kojo brushed his red-gold fur against Faith's side comfortingly, giving his mate a sympothetic look through his honey-hued pools. He turned his gaze to Dust. "Don't blame yourself Dust. Some wolves dig their own graves long before they come here. I thought I'd locked myself in Hellfire for years and yet, here I am. Things may not be written in stone but...maybe she's not ready for this yet."

[Destiny]

Dust could only nod his head at Kojo's wisdom. "your probably right.."Dust still felt bad though.He hoped she would make it to the Twilight Realm.

Faith moved closer to Kojo.Enjoying his warmth.

Nuka's paws slowed even more now.

[Ärï]

Kojo measured his stride, moving happily alongside his mate as they continued to follow Nuka. He was curious as to where Nuka was taking them but then again, he decided not to ask. It would probably be safer not to since he had no idea what was going on though he had a slight idea of what was happening. It made him slightly uneasy, his fur prickling from time to time as if they were being watched.

[Destiny]

Nuka paused perking his auds. "Dust, I have some important business to attend to. You'll meet Raku not far ahead. That's were you stop."Nuka turned and began off in a different direction. Suddenly his form was mist, then gone all together.

Dust sighed. "He's probably gone to help someone." Then Dust moved ahead of the twosome. Raku's white form was evident in the distance by now. Not much longer.

Faith pressed closer to Kojo."It feels like there are eyes on me Kojo. Like there are wolves staring into me."She murmured quietly.

[Ärï]

"Shhh love" Kojo murmured in her ear, licking her ears lovingly. "Don't worry about them Faith, no one here can hurt you." Kojo pressed his red fur against her ivory pelt, offering a reassuring smile to his beloved mate. Nothing here could or would hurt her as long as Kojo stood in their way. As long as he was near, no wolf, dead or alive, would approach Faith.
