Mosca's ears went back. Trust in my self-righteous suicide... She lifted her muzzle to answer Halo's call with equal sorrow and despair in her voice. I cry when angels deserve to die... And their sounds intwined to create a saddening melody of woe... but they were together. Despairing together. It was a unique-- and an actually quite beatiful-- display of wolfsong... Why have you foresaken me?

Borderline, dead inside. I don't mind, falling to pieces. Coming in, violin, let's begin. Feeding the sickness. How do I simplify, dislocate, the enemy is on the way.
Halo let his voice die away, standing in the moonlight and glowing slightly, the light dancing off of his coat. Topaz orbs gazed up at the sky over the lake, Mosca's voice ringing in his ears from the trees. A soft sigh escaped the brujo. Laying down with his front paws barely off of the cliff, Halo stared up at the sky, plotting the stars and searching for familiar constellations that brough him memories of Merci and home, when he had been welcome there. It seemed however, his weight was too much for the cliff, so close to the edge.
The cliff began to crumble and Halo leapt up, his paws sliding in the crumbling rock and soil, sliding off of the cliff and down toward the water. Halo braced himself just in time to strike the water. A boulder came up to meet him under the water. Halo kicked off of the rock and swam back up, head breaking water just in time. The brute swam to the edge of the lake and laid half in the water and half out, panting with water streaming off of his ivory pelt. Coughing a bit, Halo looked over at the cliff. "That was one dive I wish I hadn't taken" Halo muttered, spitting out a bit of water. Show me what it's like to dream in black and white, so I can leave this world tonight. Full of fear, everclear. I'll be here, fighting forever. Curious, venemous, you'll find me climbing to heaven. Nevermind, turn back time. You'll be fine, I will get left behind.

She began to realize that Halo's cry was fading away. Soon after, she allowed her own howl to fade too. What should I do now? Find my brother? What place in the world is-- The sound of crumbling stones and splashing caught her attention. Mosca immediately swiveled about, heart jerking as she saw Halo disappear under. Why am I so worried? Why am I so afraid? And then he emerged again, coming to the shore. Instantly, Mosca raced forward, skidding to a halt in front of him with worry sparking in her eyes. "Are you alright?"

I thought that the world had lost it's sway It's so hard sometimes Then I fell in love with you
"Yes" Halo barked, caught by surprise when Mosca appeared. One moment she'd been gone and the next, there she was. Had it been any other wolf then Halo, he would have been startled. Pushing himself up, Halo padded out of the water. Putting distance between himself and Mosca, the brute shook loose water from his gleaming pelt. Diamonds of water caught the moonlight and sparkled as they sped through the air in every direction. When his bulk stilled, Halo looked rather amusing. Some of his fur was spiked and wet, the black heart on his chest looking like an ink spot on wet fabric, slightly smudged and almost out of shape. His fur was slicked to his body making him look a bit skinnier but also highlighted the strong muscles hiding under his usually well-kept coat. "I'm fine, just...surprised" Halo admitted, looking once again at the crumbled cliff. Then came you And you took that away It's not so difficult The world is not so difficult You take away the old Show me the new

Mosca was surprised to find that her heartbeat still hadn't slowed. Why was I so worried? Halo is just a friend... "Nature always makes you surprised," she commented. After speaking, she took a few moments to examine him with her eyes. "Are you cold?"

"Very" Halo barked, "But I'll dry off soon enough. I wasn't in the water long and far from downed." Halo shuddered once, a bit more water falling from his pelt. Looking aroudn, Halo looked over at Fell's grave and smiled lightly. "I've never been good at cliff diving" he admitted, looking back at Mosca. Casting his glance once more, Halo padded to the trees and kicked away some of the snow from the base of a tree and curled up, curling his limbs close to try and keep himself warm.

Mosca felt icy claws grip her heart at the mention of cliff diving. It reminded her too much of Fell... But she shook it off, refusing to show the pain of it all. Seeing that Halo was freezing, she followed him to the tree and settled herself directly next to him, pelts brushing. She then curled about him and rested her head over him, sharing her body warmth. (awww... )

Cause she’s bittersweet She knocks me off my feet And I can’t help myself I don’t want anyone else
Halo was surprised when Mosca laid beside him. His ears pricked in surprise but he wasn't complaining, she was quite warm. Halo moved his head a bit, muzzle brushing Mosca's dark fur. A tingling sensation spread from his muzzle, down his spine and spread an odd warmth through him. When he realize his muzzle was still overing over the fae, Halo jerked his head back, a blush burning under his wet fur and ears flicking like a young brute caught staring at a pretty fae. "Sorry" he mumbled, too embarrassed to meet Mosca's eyes. She’s a mystery She’s too much for me But I keep coming back for more She’s just the girl I’m lookin for

(lol-- "just the girl")
Mosca smiled. She also felt slightly warm under her fur, where he had touched her. "Don't be sorry," she murmured softly, also feeling embarrassed at her own words. After a few moments, she asked, "Are you feeling warmer?"

From underneath the trees, we watch the sky Confusing stars for satellites I never dreamed that you'd be mine But here we are, we're here tonight (i couldn't think of anything else)
Halo smiled lightly though he was careful to behave himself this time so he wouldn't embarrass himelf further and make Mosca uncomfortable. "Yes" Halo murmured, curling his ivory banner over his hind legs. "Sorry if you're getting wet because of this." Halo sighed softly. "I need to watch which cliffs I lay on to watch stars or this could be the end of me." Halo closed his eyes for a moment, thanking Golden Mist that he hadn't been struck by falling stone or actually hit the boulder when he'd gone under the water. He was also very glad the lake hadn't frozen, then he would have really been in trouble. Cold waters were one thing, being trapped under them by a few inches of ice was quite another much less striking the ice. Singing Amen, I, I'm alive Singing Amen, I, I'm alive

"It's alright," Mosca woofed. "I fell into a frozen river once-- no wetness could compete to that." She realized a few moments later that she still had silly grin on her face. She immediately diverted her attention to a tree in the distance, blushing under her fur. Why am I acting like this?

The ivory brujo chuckled lightly. "I would suppose you're right. I tend to avoid nasty surprises involving hieghts, water and cold though it seems, tonight I was unsuccessful." Halo sighed and shifted his paws under his bulk a bit, his head resting near Mosca's paws, soft ivory fur brushing her side lightly and once more making his pelt tingle and heat flare as he blushed, glad his fur covered him. For a breif moment he felt sorry for humans. It must be very easy for them to blush and have it seen. Halo was grateful he had fur to cover his embarrassment.

(lol... lucky him ) "Heights, water, and cold... Boy, you where in the wrong place, weren't you?" Mosca chuckled, her voice soft and quiet, but strangely fluid and smoothe. She felt Halo brush her again, and she felt warmth once more. With a jolt, she realized that Thite had made her feel the same way the first time they met. Automatically, she recoiled. Dear Lupus, could I be in lo--She then realized that she had unintentionally pulled away from Halo, and was no longer feeling the warmth of his fur.

Someday, somehow I'm gonna make it alright But not right now I know you're wondering when You're the only one who knows that When Mosca moved away, out of reflex, so did Halo. The brute looked up, startled by his own reaction. Usually he didn't show much of reaction but his eyes landed on Mosca with a knowing glow in his eyes. Ah, so she'd figured it out? Sighing softly, Halo pushed himself to his paws. That must have been why she'd been so depressed, Mosca had tasted love and been rejected. Halo remembered Acacia, the fae that had eventually vanished into nothing more then a mere memory during his mourning for Merci. "Sorry Mosca" Halo murmured, gazing off into the trees. "It's probably time I start moving again." Someday somehow I'm gonna make it alright But not right now I know you're wondering when

(this just reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies with Will and Elizabeth, lol)
Mosca stared at her paws, face twisted with a sudden pain and sadness. Her eyes were hazed again. Not because of Thite this time, but because she was filled with such confusion that she couldn't stand it. I will hurt more wolves. You should just walk away. When Halo spoke again, she didn't feel as if she had the sanity to reply.
